3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black red, aromas of vanilla and caramel, flavors of vanilla, caramel, and cider. Hops are light, but the balance is good, not too sweet. This is one of my favorites for ice cream floats.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Deep burgundy, moderate frothy tannish head, nice lacing.   Bready and biscuity nose.   Slightly sweet, slight graham cracker and caramel.   Lots of toffee and Bit-o-Honey (think honeycomb cereal) on the
tongue.   A little metallic on the backside, which really is distracting.   Its seems to build at the finish.   Bodya and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Starts out okay, gets a little better right up front, but then
the metallic note comes in and WHOOOSH, negates everything.   The honeycomb cereal does get a little overbearing too.   Lacks bitterness to counteract the sweetness.   Surely feels like a big Brown Ale, but the metallic note
and over abundance of honeycomb cereal kill it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Forgot where I got bottle. Poured at a good temperature, with a fizzy, tan head that immediately settle to a small island and no lace. Color is a clear mahogany. Aroma is malt and fruit, a bit of molasses. Flavor’s like nose; malt/fruit sweetness stands out, backed by a slightly sharp carbonic tang and finished with a bit of roast. Body is ok, but carbonation is a tad coarse. Finish again, has just about the only hint of being true to Nut Brown, does have some alcohol warmth and is of average length. Ok beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22. Pours an opaque dark brown with a dense and creamy tan head that falls away, leaving a thin rim and plenty of lace. Mild brown bread nose, even when warming up. A bit of molasses in the background. Creamy, silky medium body with soft carb. Brown bread, bread crusts, a bit of molasses on the mid palate with a mild bready finish. Very approachable, very finishable. Just not a hell of a lot happening for 8.5%.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Poured a dark brown with red hints to the edges, the head is about a finger to finger and a half beige. Aroma is malty with a hint of nuts. Taste is roasted malts, light nutty chocolate, and strange metallic hops. I’m torn between liking this and not.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle. Aroma of biscuit dough, toast, walnuts and some coffee. Flavor is rich, biscuity/toasty malt with a light hop character for balance and no alcohol taste. Medium body with mild carbonation and a smooth, silky mouth feel. This is a great Imperial Brown, it really drinks just like a 5-6% beer. Lots of rich malt and not overly sweet.
