Hazy amber color. Caramel aroma and flavor, rather dry, with earthy and tired hops. Is this old? Not good.

Draft at F Street. Hazy amber color, thin tan head. Aroma of pine and grass. Taste starts malty, but it has good balance and bitterness. Decent.

Bomber poured a hazy reddish amber witha lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of carmel, brown sugar, earthiness and woody hops. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and woody hops with a smooth moderatly bitter lingering earthy finish.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is over-malted, with residual sugars, caramel malts and some resin. Flavour is muted, with earthy notes, dirty yeasty notes, and a little hops. I wonder what the hell they were going for here. Very mixed up and jumbled. Not a disaster, but not good.

Bottle:   Dirty amber, darker, large finely bubbled head, nice lacing.   Musty hop aroma, a little dank.   Smells english.   Slight earthy/soily notes, perhaps a little grainy.   Muted hops up front, soft mealy/grainy malt background.   Pretty mediocre, but not bad.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, musty, perhaps a little bigger than your standard English IPA, but still middle of the road.

22. Pours a hazy dark amber with bright edges. Dense, creamy, gigantic tan head. Mild brown bread nose. Flabby medium body, soft carb. Toasty brown bread and caramel mid palate. Seriously smells and tastes like they forgot the hops on this one. Mild bready finish.

Bottle. Thanks Jason! Classic amber visuals, well carbonated and lightly headed. The aroma is all-American, too ... caramel, and (forgive me) wet Labrador Retriever (I love it). Drinking this beer during the momentous Tim Tebow OT win in the playoffs ... YGBSM!! (PS, good beer). (#4440, 1/8/2012)

Malty nose caramel dough biscuit. Light citrus and floral hops. Mostly malty. Orange amber pour thin head. Flavors of caramel dough and biscuit followwd by light citrus and herbal hops. Malt centric.english style ipa with some american ipa character. Meh.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark copper body with a small foamy off-white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is the best if the 3 beers from them I’ve had. It’s decently citrusy, but also a fair amount of caramel malt sweetness. The flavor is about the same. There’s a decent amount of hops, but the sweetness from the malt dominates a bit too much, ruining what I look for in the style. Medium bodied and a bit clingy with fizzy soft carbonation. Best of the three Kassik’s beers I bought, but it’s pretty off the mark for my tastes.
