1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
11.2 oz bottle poured into a tumbler- poured transparent thin yellow, a decent lacing head. Aroma of very light yeast and fruit. Hits the mouth with a thin body, no real detectable qualities, slight hop/alcohol finish. Ho-hmm.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice looking beer; hazy orange, a touch of glow, and a medium sized fizzy head. Nose shows good (and balanced) fruits and some underlying malts. Maybe some fruity hops as well. Fizzy palate kills any chance of the flavours being able to shine. Some of the fruity character tries to poke through but the fizz drives a dry and slightly bitter / extracted flavour profile. Kinda like a Asahi with a fruity edge.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
33 cL. Pours pale gold with a decent white head. Sweetish, grainy aromatics with some hops and grass. Fairly balanced flavor, lightly sweet with mild bitterness. Maybe a tad warming, considering the relatively low alcohol. Thin. A decent quaffer for washing down dinner, but nothing to write home about.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Surprised by this one. Pours a yellow golden color with a small white bubbly head. Smells very sweet and slightly fruity. Tastes is champagne like and is very refreshing. A very different belgian.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate yeasty, light suger, light spicy. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is lively to soft. A bit borring ! (051007)

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
They brought this one back from the dead. Kastaar pours tawny yellow w/ a full, snowcone of a froth that just keeps on giving. This is it’s best trait. Head retention is good and it reduces to a thick clumpy sludge of cream. Nice! The aroma is almost imperceptable but I can smell the spice and fruity malts. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers. This creates an amplified carbonation effect as it hits the palate. Flavors are weak and fruity w/ an acidic component that is not so appealing. Flavors are slightly rustic w/ dried stone fruits at the core and other citrusy implications. The finish is bittered w/ citric acid. Overall: if someone asked me to describe this beer with one word, I’d say "UGLY".

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazed straw gold with a white head. Nose is yeasty and citrus-like. Flavor is thick with character. Strong yeast influence. Fairly bold lemon edge. Feel is good. Nice bubble on the tongue and a thicker body feel on the tongue. Highly drinkable. So smooth and even, it could easily be a session brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours with a small head and a very muddled, hazy-of-sun on a cloudy day, yellow. It’s a yellow that does not glow or shine but as if mud became the color yellow, cannot see through the beer. Aroma is present with light burnt malt, light liquor candy, a muddy sweetness, and faint lemon citrus. Some very faint wild/tart aspect. Taste is light fruit and citrus with the aftertaste burnt malt and faint cardboard. I want to talk about the label a bit, first of all what’s up with the bland design, I really thought this was an old bottle, at least 10 years and was surprised to see the freshness date. And what is a "K-Star" and what do they mean by "old style." Then, it says high fermentation, well if they mean temperature, well there are not any characteristics of that. If I were rating the label I would

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Cloudy golden color, enormous white head whit really big bubbles.
Smells of citrus and yeast, not so pleasant.
Tastes of citrus and pineapple, a little sour, reminds me a lemon juice, not sweet, not bitter (a little in the aftertaste).
Light-medium body and overcarbonated.
Fresh is good if you’re thirsty, and is also easy to drink but looks like there are additives. A strange brew, I didn’t like it.
