2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (23023) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 27, 2005
(Bottle 25 cl) Aged sample - vintage 1988. 5% ABV in this version. Dark amber, absolutely no head and very low in carbonation. Very soft mouthfeel but very full still. Notes of both nuts and coffee - weird combination. Spicy - but again - soft. I reckon I should try this fresh one day, this sample was obviously too old. 070398

UPDATED: APR 12, 2007 Bottled (1995 version sampled in November 2002).
Dark amber. Acidic toffee aroma, with a hint of spices. Velvetty mouthfeel leading to a finish with lkow bitterness. Rather one-dimensional, and probably not made perfect justice by letting it sit in a cellar for 7 years.
