COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong Belgian brown ale.
After extensive tasting, trying to fulfil increasingly strict requirements, the brewmaster obtains a creamy, dark Belgian brown ale: Kasteelbier. The quality of the past is still unmatched and the beloved taste is very much of the present. Kasteelbier is a dark, artisanal beer, soft and mild, full and creamy. It can age for many, many years, as indicated on the bottle. 11% abv, serve at 12°C (54°F) (Translation by Martinus)

Nice garnet with thin head. Predominantly caramel aroma with some fig. Sweet flavor of dark fruits and a lingering palate of sugar and fruit. Very drinkable.

Dark redish brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malt and plums, and some roast, not very pronounced. Taste of wine, dark caramel, plums, and alcohol, with a fairly short palate. Surprisingly smooth for the abv.

AROMA: spices, sugar, alcohol, raisin, chocolate, port aftertaste APPEARANCE: brown, clear, minimal head, brown foam TASTE: heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter PALATE: creamy, medium body, average carbonation, long finish, bitter OVERALL: recent bottle, too strong too enjoy some if its depth. Much better aged.

22 oz bomber... Whoever said this brew was retched is obviously living on Bud... Deep dark amber with a nice clingy head, this high volume beer has very subtle flavors and no alcohol burn that I could feel even through the whole bottle. I like Belgian brews a lot, and I like this one a lot. Full bodied, flavorful, with a nice kick.

This is one wretched brew. One of the few beers that I couldn’t even gt half way through. Just extreme sweetness and booze.

bottle. muddy, opaque colour, smells of strong coffee, cherry and some malt. tastes of alcohol, a little sour but mostly sickeningly sweet with a horrible aftertaste. medium body.
