Belgian pale ale.
Kasteel Hoppy is a blond ale of high fermentation, with a bitterness of 45 EBU. Strictly selected, Belgian hops are essential for the hoppy, spicy aroma, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Gedronken in Oud Brabant, pils kleur en helemaal helder, pluspunten, ik had hem hoppig verwacht maar helaas. Nie vies maar ook nie lekker

Bardzo dobre, ze spora pianka trwala, metnym kolorze zlota. Pachnie chmielnie, aromatycznie. Smak dobry lekko slodowy ale o przewadze chmielu i goryczki. Belgijski chmiel wyczuwalny mocno. Na koncu smak biszkoptow.

An absolute, watery Mess of a Beer. Far away from a Pale ale of any kind. Reminds me more of a bad Lager than anything.

Weak aroma. Not much going on. Taste: weak stuff. Slighty more power in there than there is in a pilsener. This is not really craftbeer worthy in my opinion. Or am I way too familiar with strong hoppy beers? Whatever..

Tap at Le Senk. Aroma candi sugar, funky saisony, fruity. Clear yellow colour. Okay head. Taste is saisony funky typically Belgian, hints of candi, fruity. Rather thin bodied and very easily drinkable. Rather sweet and malty, clean impression. Quite good.

Helder geel bier met schuim. Smaak is inderdaad hoppig bitter en licht fris zuur, echter valt wat tegen in vergelijk met triple hop bieren. Zeker niet slecht.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Clear gold lasting thin white head. Good noble hop Sherbet aroma. I like it. Not overly complicated but I love the hops. Decent and distinctive Belgian blond

330 ml bottle bought at CitySuper in Habour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.<

Clear dull golden amber colour; Less than one-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with active carbonation; Quite pungent aroma of malt, with orange, light grapefruit, hop oil, unknown chemical, sugar, light pine, light Bel yeast, light bread, light lemon and faint grass; Medium sweet taste of fairly light malt, with orange, grapefruit peels, chemicals, sugar, pine, light resin, light spices, biscuits, light yeast, lime, lemon, fairly strong bitter hops and grass; Medium body. Thick and oily palate; Mouth feel is moderate to light malt, taste pretty thin but has worty feel, as the body is thick and sugary. Chemical taste abound, may have been the Belgian hops which, if it’s the case, really spoils the party with off-putting oily resin plus extract-like bitter juice. Almost no trace of usual Belgian taste like banana, caramel, esters and so on, just some hop-related orange and grapefruit essence. Taste bad… Hoppiness is orange, grapefruit peels, chemical, spices, pine and oily resin in nose and taste. Bitterness is strong and unnatural for an lasting, not-so-tasty strong bitter finish; Slightly dry after taste. Oily, sweet and bitter to mouth.

Comments: After having the disappointing Kasteel Blond yesterday, I thought this would be just the same thing with more hops. Turns out to be much worse: worty, sugary pungent malt with loads of chemical-ish hop extract. Trying to be cute like a Pale Ale, but the end result is frankly grotesque. Never again!

the aroma is malty and herbal with hints of farm, straw and some garden fruits... the taste is malty and fruity with notes of lemon and spicy grasses and rough hoppy bitterness... sweet and bitter aftertaste...

Bottle from Auchan market Luxembourg City!
Pours clear golden yellow with flat soapy head. Musty malty aroma. Taste is very harsh bitter with lots of hay and musty malt notes. Finish is totally bitter with some acidic notes...
