Bottle. Poured a deep red with with a reddish brown head that laces nicely. Aroma was full of cherries both sweet and tart. The flavor carries the same qualities as the cherries are well balanced between sweetness and tartness.

At an albert heijn XL in Zaandam, bottle 330ml my bottle says "kasteel rouge" dark red, pink fizzy no lasting head, fizzy taste with lots of cherryfruits and soure citrus, almost no bitter and grain, a bit like a hi-alcohol fruitbeer, not my kind. With bad acid sweetners.

(draught 0,25l) Pink-brown creamy head. Dark red color. Strong cherry aroma. Very sweet, maybe too much. Cherry flavor. Sticky texture. Sweet and light alcohol finish.

Pours dark red with a small pink-beige head. Aroma is dominated by sweet cherries and cough medicine with some earth, leaves, and a slightly mustardy yeast note (which I was cut through the fruit more). Flavor begins very sweet as well with a fruitiness that just seems like Cherry flavored Dimetapp to me, along with a little bit of yeast character and earth attempting to balance things. Fairly light bodied and spritzy, but the flavor is potent. Eh, I’m not a fan and am uninspired to type more.

Tap at FFF. Pours clear dark ruby with bubbly pink head (how cute, now someone pass me an I.S.). Sweet, clean refreshing cheer jollyrancher taste with very slight sour backing. Interesting, seems like a dessert. Light and drinkable.

Dark, almost blood, red. Hints of red in the head. VERY heavy on the cherry. I liked it at first, but as it got close to the end I thought I was drinking cherry Nyquil. I wish they had focused more on the sour quality of cherries rather than their sweetness.

Bottle poured into a tulip. Dark cranberry color with small pink frothy head that dissipates fully. Aroma of strong dark cherries, syrup. Taste is slightly tart, mostly sweet and syrupy, with slight alcohol finish. Smooth and soft carbonation. Pretty good!
