0.33 l bottle (as Kasteel Rouge) at Tuulensuu, Tampere. Dark reddish brown color. Sweet and tart, with plenty of tart cherry and almonds. Good cherry character, but not very complex or beery.

Bottle. Pink red pour with a white pink head. Aroma and taste of tart cherry, but not too sweet. Good fruit beer.

Draft. Very red ruby color with pink head. Really unique. Cherries , cherry juice. Light carbonation and bright flavors of rip cherries. Refreshing fruity beer that pack a deceptive punch.

Beautiful ruby color with low carbonation. Bright, dark cherries in the nose. Tastes were tart cherries and maltiness. A fruity brown ale with a fair amount of residual sweetness. Dessert beer.

Rodman’s Grocery, DC 11.2oz ($3.79): Pours a majestic red color with a very quickly dissipating head. By appearance alone, it is very clear that there is fruit juice and the like added. The aroma has notes of tart cherries and seems almost like a lambic at first. There are yeast notes present as well. As for the taste, it is not nearly as sweet as some people are claiming, although it is a little sweet. The cherries dominate to an extent that the Belgian Ale is in the background and can only be detected on certain quaffs. The body is rather thin, which makes for obscenely easy drinking considering the high alcohol content, although the texture is not particularly pleasing. Not a great beer.

Smells like a cherry life saver. Nice maltiness with cherry essence added. Beautifully balanced ale with a very thin head pours with a thin head. Very nice
