A little too sweet for my taste. Has a beautiful and inviting colour, though.

Dark red colour with a minimal head. Black cherry smell and taste. Goes down very easy and fast with no signs of alcohol so the 8% sneaks up on you. A little sweet but if you cut it with an IPA it makes for nice drinking.

Poured ruby red with a small pinkish head. Sweet aroma, mostly cherry juice and sugar. Taste is completely sweet. No balance. Cloying. Much closer to juice or a cherry slurpee than it is to beer.

Bottled on 11/27/07. Poured into a snifter, deep blood red in color. Nose of strong tart and sweet cherries. Head has a pink hue and the lacing has great retention. Cherry coke without the cola. The 8% ABV is well hidden. Too much cherry and the added cherry juice really made it over-powering. I wouldn’t buy again. But it was nice to try.

Blood color with pink highlights. Sweet aroma of cherry bubbegum. Cherry flavor with lots of sweetness. Some malt flavor. Carbonated lot soda. No alcohol to be found. Goes down way too easy.

Rated in the spring 2010: Served in a bottle [Kasteel Rouge]: Nice head and fenomenal aroma. The taste is a bit too sweet but perfectly malted and leaves no alcoholic taste as feared..
