Kasteel Rouge on tap! Sweet cough syrup cherry flair gives way to a sticky sweet (yet tasty) cherry flair. Too sticky, then just right. Too cloying, then palatable.

33cl bottle. Pours ruby dark red with a thick red/rosée head. Aroma is loaded with cherries and notes of yeast. Taste is again filled with cherries, sugary and a very slight touch of sour / yeast. Thick and creamy, real cherries, the beer is a monster of goodness. Very drinkable for 8%abv.

Thanx oh6gdx. Bottled as "Kastell Rouge". Dark red in color, minor red head with lacings. The aroma is sweet cherry. The flavor doesn’t reveal much of the alcohol. Sweet with cherry

Bottle, "Kastell Rouge". Maroon pour with a thin light pink head. Aroma of cherries and bread. Taste of cherries, gingerbread and yeast. Really sweet, think Hoegarden and cherry juice.

IT HAS A VERY RED APPEARANCE AND THE SMELL OF CHERRIES IS REALLY SWEET. THE TASTE IS TO DIE FOR. TASTE LIKE A GREAT CHERRY SODA WITH A HELL OF A KICK.A MUST BUY.

33 cl bottle @ home. Ruby colour, pink head. Aroma of sweet cherries, syrup. Flavour is sweet, cherries, with a little sour hint, making it not too sweet. High ABV not noticeable. Very nice fruit beer.

Just a wonderful smell; looks fantastic. Very dominated by cherry in all aspects. Pretty sweet in the finish, but overall I like it. Just a bit too sweet.

Bottle courtesy of secret santa: Poured a deep red color ale with a light pink color head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of syrupy cherry with too much of sweet cloying notes. Taste is also dominated by the extremely sweet cherry syrup with some very light malt notes. Full cloying sweet body with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Too sweet for my taste buds and too much of the fake cherry syrup comes out for me to enjoy this beer.
