Better than Redbach (gasp) and Lindemans but not quite as tart and refined as say New Glarus. The cherry juice makes this an easy one to drink and it seems to enhance the sweetness of the aroma of dark cherries a notch. The malts are accentuated and hops seem pretty faint. Some acidity and sourness within a rather wet palatte. I would never have guessed 8% abv. I could drink a growler of this. Thanks to Kevin of the NEPA club for sharing.

Bottle sample at Pints for Pets - Lots like cherry pop, only slightly brown. Nose smell of cherries, a lot. Kind of like Cherokee Red pop with a touch of artificial chocolate cherry candy smell. Taste of Cherokee Red, sour cherries and chocolate covered cherries. Sour and dry. Oh, and there’s some taste of cherries.. Pretty decent.

A wonderful beer, the fruit is sweet but not sticky. It reminds me of a Lindmans Kriek lambic though a bit less sour and cleaner The ruby color the fresh scent, amazing all the way around.

Absolutely love this brew on tap, or in the bottle. Pleasantly sour, and bursting with rich sour and sweet cherry flavor, I could drink this one all day...and night. So glad to see it hitting the States heavy!

On tap at Eulogy. The pour was red with no head. Very pretty beer. The nose was sweet and tart cherries with an underlaying malt character. Basically same with the flavor. A bit heavy on the body with lots of carbonation to contain it. Balanced finish. Very interesting beer.

Poured a nice ruby red color with a pinkish head. Aroma is acidic and sour with a nice cherry scent. Flavor is also a bit sour but with a very nice cherry finish.

750ml bottle. Pours cherry red and amber colored with a head that has a reddish tint to it. The cherry aroma is unmistakable. Sweet and zingy. An overall nice flavor. The grain bill is substantial enough to hold the powerful cherry flavor. I don’t know if they needed to add the cheery juice, the fruit in my opinion, would have been enough and probably would have accentuated the sour flavor that is there, but light and over powered by sweet. Medium wet mouth feel and body. In final summary, you can’t help to compare this to cough drops, but in this case it was a particularly yummy cough drop.

Brown beer with red highlights and a pink head. Aroma is intense with a sweet and sour cherry note. Also has some balsamic vinegar in there, too. Taste is overly sweet with only a bit of acidity to balance it out. Couldn’t pick up on any real funk as one would see in a kriek. Tastes like carbonated Nyquil.
