bottle, dark reddish colour with pink and unstable head. Sweet and cherry smell, also a smell from oak wood. Taste: real krieken as you would eat them freshly and ripe picked from a tree, very sweet, alcohol, wood. Totally not my style of beer but in its style a real topper!

330ml bottle, dark mahogany, ruby color, with a pinkyish head, sweet fruity cherryish cough syrup nose, with a marzipan, almondy paste accent, with a hint of blackberries and brown sugar sweetness in the aroma follows thorugh on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet black cherry, cough syrup character with a kind of artificial sweetness, with a faint black chocolate and cherry candy lolipop flavor, leading towards a sweet candyish cherry fruity finish.

Tap @ The Malt House - Pours a beautiful ruby red with a light pink head. Smells like a mix of real cherries and cherry cough drops. Just a little too artificial, but still smells tasty. The taste is more authentic. It’s all deep, dark black cherries that taste almost like they’re fermenting. They’re overripe with deep sourness and brandy sweetness intermingling on the finish. It’s way too sweet to be anything more than a desserty sipper, but the richness makes it almost like a dessert unto itself. A fantastic, unexpected experience, and one I’d like to have again.

On tap at the Cheeky Monk in Denver. Awesome deep red color with a small pink head. Aroma is loads of sweet cherries and sugar, good but almost a bit medicinal. Flavor is, once again, lots of sweet cherries and sugar, with just a tiny bit of alcohol. Also a bit medicinal. It’s good, but reminds me a bit too much of Cherry Nyquil. Body is medium with low carbonation. Just a tiny bit syrupy.

Had no idea it was a kriek untill i poored it. Quess i should check the bottle (the 33cl one). Very dark red color with a light red head. Strong sweet sugery cherry aroma, great! Lovly tart and sugery flavor but with a sleight bitter finish that i didnt care for. Still really nice.

Pailhead (3326) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - SEP 30, 2009
Bottle: The aroma is loaded with sweet cherries and just the slightest hint of tart cherries. It pours a somewhat transparent garnet with moderate sediment and a small fizzy pinkish head that quickly fades to a ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor is all sweet cherries up front. The finish turns lightly tart, but it’s pretty much dominated by sweet cherries. The alcohol is definitely noticeable...not so much it heat, but in flavor. A solid beer, the alcohol flavor doesn’t mesh very well with the cherries and becomes a little distracting. Medium bodied, with lively, and somewhat fizzy, carbonation.

330 ml bottle. Dark red clear body, small light redish head. Aroma is very sweet and deep cherry, a black cherry. Taste has sweetness and cherry, too. Very oily mouthfeel with some bitterness. Has some nice warmt of alcohol in flavor. Very nice fruit beer.

Small creamy white/red lasting head. Clear red-brown body. Heavy aroma of cherry - and that’s it. Medium body and a sticky texture. Heavy sweet and a warming finish.
