Deep ruby red pour with beautiful mild pink head fades to medium ring around the glass. Nose is cough syrup cherry, like ludens cough drops. Flavor is much same, but with a touch of balancing tartness. Body is mildly syrupy/ creamy with light tingly carbonation. Nice lingering sweet tart cherry flavor. A bit too sweet, but still a nice drink.

I had this on tap at the Happy Gnome and didn’t care for it as much as some other Krieks I’ve had. What this beer lacks is a decision between sweet and sour.

Pours an amber reddish-brown with a lush reddish-white head. The lacing is thick like cream. The aroma is overwhelming with sour cherry...a beautiful smell to behold! The dominant flavor, like the aroma, is dark sour cherry. The initial spice on the pallet is awfully nice with some overbearing tartness in the finish that makes you want to make the "fish-face" with you cheeks. The mouthfeel is somewhat thin though even for a fruit beer.

Draft. Poured a deep red ruby body with thin head. Aroma is cherries. Flavor is slightly sweet but very tart, cherries, a little bit of sourness to it.

750ml -2007 - Aroma is real cherries, artificial cherry candy and some maltiness to hold it down. Pours deep red with a medium quickly fading pink head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is sweet and sour. Feels forced, like they added the "cherry juice" to completely remove and subtlety and nuance. Too much IMO. Went well with the dark chocolate I was eating.

Clear dark red with tiny short lasting pinkish head. Sweet aroma with notes of sweet cherries and marzipan. Sweet flavor with strong cherry notes. Ends sweet.

330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki)
Rich red, fizzy head. Aroma of maraschino and black cherries. Taste matches that - black cherries all over. 1-dimensional, but it’s great to have something non-sweet as the fruity hook. Those cherries are dark and bitter, and very tasty. Where’s the 8%?
