330 ml bottle. Dark red clear body, small light redish head. Aroma is very sweet and deep cherry, a black cherry. Taste has sweetness and cherry, too. Very oily mouthfeel with some bitterness. Has some nice warmt of alcohol in flavor. Very nice fruit beer.

Small creamy white/red lasting head. Clear red-brown body. Heavy aroma of cherry - and that’s it. Medium body and a sticky texture. Heavy sweet and a warming finish.

Bottle 05/04 Cellared since purchasing at New Beer Distributors. Big pop but little head produced with the pour; just a thin ring of bubbles at the edge of the glass. Subtle fruit, some leathery notes. Sweet fruity flavor, smooth.

from Au Grain d’Orge, labelled Kasteel Rouge - fully cloudy reddish-brown colour with a firm beige foam; strong aroma of cherries and marzipan, very sweet and full-bodied, juicy with some acidic tartness; long sweetish cherries aftertaste - strong and very sweet yet quite enjoyable

Interesting beer. Looks cool in the glass > Dark red. Sweet at first then sour. Tons of different flavors as it warms up. Yeasty but not to much so. Would drink again.

Bottle, Rehills, Newcastle. Delicious deep ruby kriek. All the attributes of a great Belgian fruit beer, loads of flavour, fine aroma and sweet, yet balanced.

On tap at Track 84 - Warwick, RI. Fresh wet black cherries in the nose with some strong citric acid and light honeyed sweetness. Pours a murky bright red-brown, with a creamy off-white head. Flavor is dominated by a lightly sweet straight sour cherry juice. The sweetness of the malt in the beer plays off the cherry sourness and gives decent balance, despite a somewhat thin body. Yeast character or much beer flavor are missing. Somewhat shallow.
