Well they were not joking about the rouge on this one. Dark cherry red body with a pink head. Cherries are dominating the aroma. Quite sweet with some tartness. Soft carbonation. A bit too sweet for me.

Pours a dark wine red. Strong aroma of cherries. Strong taste of sweet cherries with a little tartness. Hides the high alcohol very well.

This beer is the perfect segue from red wine to beer. Not offensively fruity, easier to drink than a lambic.

Draft - Sweet cheery juice with a touch of malt. Clear deep brown with a rich beige head. Sweet cherries, but with a sold malt backbone that keeps it from being jammy or juice like. The finish isnít too sweet and I think that is the key.

Dark red color. Fruity taste. Candy and cherry. Heavy cloying sweetness, lightly sour. Not bad.

bottle. dark red clear. Very nice dark cherry, marzipan nose. Candy-ish, but without being really too easy, pop- like. Sweet dark cherry, nice body. This is pretty awesome. Super fresh fruity, good flavours. Probably the best kasteel Iíve had, and definately the best cherry strong ale.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma - the aroma is very pleasing - itís clearly cherry and it improves over time. It has a slight vinous aroma about it, that is reminiscent of a Sour Ale.
Appearance - is a really nice dark ruby red, with only a dash of head that was pink and faded.
Taste - It was absolutely delightful. It was sweet with Cherry and Currant as well. It is similar to a slightly tarter A-Treat Black Cherry soda. It is one of those beers that when you share it with someone new to beer, they have a hard time believing itís a beer. Excellent, I didnít want to finish it, I wish there would have been more.
Feel - Itís just right in the effervesce and again, and absolute delight. Iíd love to see this just a little less thin.
An absolute must try. This is a great beer. I would use this beer as an example of what beer can be with someone who is new to beer, or someone who has had a bad experience trying craft beer and got turned off. This is really a masterful brew.

Ruby brown body. Slightly red head. Slightly tart aroma. Sour brown? Fairly malty body but finished acidic. More of cranberry like bitter taste. Cherry juice very evident.

Donkerrode kleur met roze schuim. Aroma van rood fruit en kers. Smaakt naar kers, lekker zuur. Goeie kriek.

Bouteǐle: Clear, ruby-amber coloured, no head to speak of, very sweet fruity(cherries, what elseÖ) and almondy nose; very sweet - almost cloying - flavour, full bodied; sweet-sourish fruity finish, cherries and almonds show up again. A pretty monotonous brewÖ
