Kasteel Rouge is a blend of Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor. The mix of these two excellent products creates an exceptional soft beer with references to the dark mother beer.

Pours dark red with quickly going pink head. Nose is cherry, strawberry, sweets, a bit sourness. Mouth follows mostly. Some grapefruit side joins. After reveals alcohol - it takes your throat warm and brings more up cherry bitterness. Good one!

On 50 cl can from Deli at Brussels airport. Dark amber color, ok foam. Medium/high aroma intensity; dominated by cherries, some licquer, also some other red berries Medum/full body & complexity. SOme immediate sweetness, but good bitterness balances well. Very enjoyable

Bem diferente. A espuma desaparece rapidamente e faz barulho parecido com refrigerante. Tanto o aroma lembram um pouco gosto de xarope, mas não é uma cerveja ruim.

Dark brown and ruby pour with small light pink head. Strong aromas of almonds, marzipan and glacé cherries. The taste is sweet and initially very strong on the glacé cherries, with the marzipan and almonds lingering in the mid-palate and finish. Full bodied and acidic which helps neutralise some of the sweetness. Interesting and enjoyable, if a little saccharine.

A smell of cherries, very fruity, some syrup. The head is small, fizzy and red with a short duration. The body is dark red. A taste of cherries, at first rather bitter, then it gets sweeter. The body is light and fizzy with a lot of carbonation.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 08-2017 Interesting looking brew indeed - deep bronzed body with a purple sort of hue to it, a creamy purple tinged head holds atop. Sour cherry is dominant in the aroma, quite intense. Notes of brown sugar, and spice underneath. Lively carbonation, full bodied, cherries add a touch of acidity & tannin. Cherries dominate once again on the body - quite sweet, bit of almond in the works, dark candy sugar earthiness, touch of apple esters and phenolic savoury spice. Warming finish, overall sweet impression. Interesting combination, works quite well.
