750ml corked bottle pours a brownish red color with a quickly diminishing pinkish head that leaves only a few spots of lace. Aroma is cherries and a hint of yeast. Taste is initially sweet cherry followed by some tartness in the finish. This is a well done fruit beer which was a treat to sample.

Pours a very dark blackish red, almost opaque, with a bubbling, pinkish head that dissipates quickly. Nose is cherries. Fairly creamy, the taste is mostly cherries with some sugar and tartness evident. A dessert beer that can also serve as a summer thirst quencher, paired with cherries, fruits and light cheese.

Deep, clear, ruby with a small pink head. Aroma of cherry candy. Taste is sweet and a touch tart. Medium-full bodied, pretty smooth and slightly dry.

Called Kasteel Rouge on my bottlle. Ruby red with a white head and pink tinged bubbles. Nose of cherry. Medium to full bodied with light carbonation. The flavor is powerfully cherry and alcohol, but it all hangs together. A really big fruit beer/

From a 33cl bottle ino a snifter. Red with a pink lively and short lived head. Aroma strawberry turning into berrie, finishing in an unambiguous cherry aroma. Malts hidden by a rather pleasant cherry tart, finishes with a wood taste. Took away 2 points overall bc. ingredients declare colorants. NONO in beer.

(bottle) Aroma and flavor are distinctly cherry. Elevated alcohol is fairly well hidden. Smooth palate.

Bottle. Clear red colour with a small, pink head that goes away really quickly. Aroma of fruits, cassis and some sweet alcohol. Flavour is full, sparkling fruits and sweetness. Alcohol gives a nice warming feel to it, making it interesting to drink a few. Quite good.

Hazy muddy ruby tinted brown coloured body. Great sour and sweet cherry smell with a lot of liqour and malt. medium-bodied; Strong malt and alcohol notes with a great sour and slightly pungent cherry flavour with tons of sugars on the finish. Aftertaste is very clean and enjoyable - sweet and refreshing. Overall, a very nice beer that shows well and should be sampled by everyone! I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle purchased by my Dad from German Gourmet in Falls Church, Virginia for US$4 sampled camping in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
