Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Nov 28, 2007 pours a dark cherry red. smooth sweet aroma of cherry. like juicy juice this is a sweet chwerry carbonated drink. good sweet, and not too dry, long lasting palate. MoDog (910), Griffith, Indiana, USA Nov 27, 2007 On tap at Three Floyd’s Brewpub and served in a Kasteel goblet. This beer poured a beautiful burghandy color with a thin, lasting pink head. The aroma of the beer was dominated by sweet, tart cherries (not a bad thing!). The flavor consisted of sweet cherries, mild fruity yeast esthers, and a faint note of alcohol. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and sugary with moderate carbonation. A great tasting brew that may be just a bit on the sweet side. Otherwise, very well done. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Nov 27, 2007 On tap as Kasteel Rouge, served in a Kasteel goblet - It poured a clear, very dark lavender body with a sustained, creamy pink head. The aroma was that of fresh, sweet dark cherries with a light spiciness to it. Very soft mouthfeel and lightly carbonated, the ale tastes mainly of the cherries with a very light tartness and some friendly spices. The strong alcohol content is hidden throughout. Very nice.

hombrepalo (748), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 26, 2007 Bottle, smells like cherries! poured a dark reddish color, light brownish head, quickly fading. Smooth taste of sweet cherries and smell too. a bit sour and flat at the end. good not great vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Nov 25, 2007 Glad to see this one back in the MO / IL area. It is now under the name Rouge. Pours very dark crimson with a quickly diminishing pink head. The aroma had lots of cherries with a Luden’s tinge along with light spices and some sourness. Medium / full body with soft carbonation. The flavor starts with smooth sour cherries and lots of what was on the aroma. The finish is highly spiced. A good beer, but it comes across very one dimensional. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Nov 24, 2007 Pours deep cherry red w/ a shortlived spritzy froth. All thats left is a fluffy ring of pink lace. Strong aromas a sweet, ripe cherries. Medium nectar w/ ample carbonation. Strong, fresh, concentrated cherry nectar flavors w/ only a mild tartness. Ths brew is surprsingly balanced w/ it’s defined sweetness and not in the least bit cloying. The finish is brisk, fruity, and clean. No detection of alcohol at all. Well made. YK23 (253), Haifa, Israel Nov 23, 2007 Updated: Nov 28, 2007Tap: overall it’s a very sweet beer, loads of cherry, sugery, somewhat medcinal but with nice sour notes, quite rich, medium bodied. alcohol is well hidden, finish is quite dry, pretty good beer, too sweet for my taste but still nice. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Nov 21, 2007 Updated: Apr 24, 2009This fruit beer pours a deep red color from a 330cl bottle. Small sized pinkish foamy head. Aroma is cherry and tartness, some earthiness. A medium bodied fruit beer. Lots of cherry flavors, kind of sweet nice tartness. There is some tartness to offset the sweet and there is some malt hiding in there as well. Intense cherry flavors. Very tart. A touch of funk. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
