The Fonefan/Brugmansia Cnudde tasting. Courtesy of Fonefan/Brugmansia. It’s an incredibly nice, dark, red beer with a pink head and a nice aroma of cherries and marzipan. The flavour has sweetness, but also a nice berry acidity that balances the brew nicely. It has notes of cherries, marzipan, almonds and it’s a very nice kriek!

Pours dark red, like a dark cherry, pink head. Big cherry taste, dark and sweet, if you are looking for subtlety look the other way, this is rich and sweet. This kinda tastes just like cherry soda, good if you are looking for that, bad if you are looking for any wild yeast or earthy character.

750 ml corked caged bottle. Pours deep magenta with 1-finger of pink head. Nose is Jolly Ranchery cherry, earthy malt, some cobwebby yeast. Tastes somewhat sweet at first, but gets tarter as it warms up and the palate normalizes, with a natural tasting tart cherry flavor coupled with some earthy and yeasty notes. Solid.

Pours ruby red with a nice foamy ruby head, that lingered all the way to the end. Aroma of oak and cherry. Flavor of cherries, no doubt with a hint of oak and chocolate. Nice lingering aftertaste of cherry/oak. Nice medium body. Not syrupy at all. Nice beer to drink on a rainy spring night. Smooth mouthfeel. Very nice beer
