Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours reddish-purple with fizzy almost pinkish-purple head. Aroma is very fruity, some tartness, some cherry and wood, some alcohol. Flavor of malt, cherry, wood, tart, some medicinal qualities.....Mouth feel is light-medium body with fizzy carbonation. Overall, not bad at all!

Dark red color. Tastes like concentrated cherry juice and medicine. Notes of sweet malt and slightly tart. One dimensional, and quite sweet.

A nose of cherries, almonds and dr. pepper. Taste is straightforward and very sweet and a little bit acidic. I enjoyed this one.

Dark red thin head. Heavy cherry aroma almost medicinal. Flavor is cherry light tart, pretty medicinal heavier than most w good deal of alcohol. Good, but the medicinal aspect kills it for me.

Label reads "Kasteel Rogue". Pours a cherry color and smells of cherries. Very thin pink colored head which disappears quickly. Taste is heavy on the cherry. It’s not that bad, but not that good.

Bottle labeled Kasteel Rouge. Pours dark ruby red color with pinkish head. Cherry candy aroma. Sugary sweet artificial cherry flavor with some tartness. Medium body with lively carbonation. Way too sweet and articficial tasting for me.

Mine came in a 12oz bottle from Whole Foods, with markings to indicate that the brew inside was about 9 months old. Pour is thick, with low levels of carbonation. It forms a dainty pink head above its dark ruby-brown body. In case you weren’t aware, this one’s all about cherries. If you love cherry flavors, buy it now. If you actually love good beer more, read on. Aroma: ripe cherries crushed between your fingers, with the ghost of a yeasty Belgian strong ale lurking somewhere way down deep in there. Flavor: cherry on top and in your face, like a voluptuous woman who knows how to get what she wants; ripe, full-bodied cherries, more sweet than tart; however, underneath it’s a boozy, malty mess of a brew; yeah, almost everything is well hidden by cherry, but the alcohol burn still becomes annoying and the malt base seems way too sweet and rich. Hops? Not really. Sophisticated balance of complex flavors? No way! I would rather drink cherry juice or cherry nectar, and then go drink a better beer. Cheers!

Delious Fruits, Vişne , cherry... ice head and Red just like Sangiovese grape colour. You feel like too much sweet but it is very balanced and very nice after taste such an enjoyable beer. One of the best krieks i ever tasted.
