Tap: overall it’s a very sweet beer, loads of cherry, sugery, somewhat medcinal but with nice sour notes, quite rich, medium bodied. alcohol is well hidden, finish is quite dry, pretty good beer, too sweet for my taste but still nice.

Aug 20, 2008 Excelent aroma, fruity but not so swetty or disgusting, is not perfum, is real cherries and berries. Red color adn pinky head, makes an atractive contrast for this beer, I really enjoyed this one, it is the true that fruit and malts can be good in adequate proportion

Aug 19, 2008 Kasteel Rouge on tap! Sweet cough syrup cherry flair gives way to a sticky sweet (yet tasty) cherry flair. Too sticky, then just right. Too cloying, then palatable.

Pours ruby dark red with a thick red/rosée head.
Aroma is loaded with cherries and notes of yeast.
Taste is again filled with cherries, sugary and a very slight touch of sour / yeast.
Thick and creamy, real cherries, the beer is a monster of goodness. Very drinkable for 8%abv.

Aug 13, 2008 Thanx oh6gdx. Bottled as "Kastell Rouge". Dark red in color, minor red head with lacings. The aroma is sweet cherry. The flavor doesn’t reveal much of the alcohol. Sweet with cherry

Aug 11, 2008 Bottle, "Kastell Rouge". Maroon pour with a thin light pink head. Aroma of cherries and bread. Taste of cherries, gingerbread and yeast. Really sweet, think Hoegarden and cherry juice.
