COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kasteel Rouge is a blend of Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor. The mix of these two excellent products creates an exceptional soft beer with references to the dark mother beer.

25.4 oz. bottle. To my nose, aroma was almost exclusively of cherries, with a little alcohol thrown in. Looked gorgeous in the glass, a fine red/brown color with a haziness that spoke of the tartness that awaited. Small pinkish head that disappeared almost as quickly as it formed. Taste was somewhat one dimensional (tart cherries of course); however, I did detect the distinct taste of fig. Dry on the palate. I took my time drinking the bottle so as to not overwhelm myself with the cherry taste. Overall, I liked it and would recommend it for splitting with another person after dinner.

Bottle at home. Clear dark red, thin light pink head. Tooth wrecking sweet cherry syrup, with a strange herbal bitterness in it, sugar replacement. Very sweet, light bitter, finishes tart. Under medium body, low carbonation, leaves the tongue dry and stale. Way too sweet and that strange herbal taste and sour finish are messing with my tastebuds in a very negative way.

On tap. Pours reddish brown color with small pink head. Aroma of sour cherries, fruit syrup. Sweet and sour taste. Not fan of this beer style.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2016 0,33 Bottle, Beerlovers Vienna. Huge amount of cherry inside of its aroma, almost nothing else is present. Dark red color, pretty clear with a medium white head. Sour cherry and sweet taste. Changing its character over time, starting sweet, ending bitter and giving pleasure to your palate. Plus to this one!

Dark red to brown color, small redish head. Strong aroma of cherries. Taste also cherries dominant, light sour, dry and light bitter. Alcohol well hidden. The best fruit beer I tasted.

Bottle, 330ml. A dark reddish beer with a small pink head. Sweet aroma of cherry, strawberries and Halls (the red ones). Taste is also very sweet with considerable carbonation. Medium bodied with a syrup aftertaste that again reminds me of the red Halls.

Bottle, 33cl. Wine colored with a frothy to minimal pinkish head. Fruity syrup aromas, not too artificial though. Intense syrup sweetness into a weak finish. Not undrinkable, but little else either.

Colour is between dark red and brown. Huge cherry hit on the nose, slightly sour and enough malt backbone to make it c!ear that this is a beer, not cherryade. Body is fairly light. Slightly medicinal at the end - the only downside.

No. Ihan hyvä tämä on. Kirsikkaolueksi oikeinkin hyvä. Mukavan hapan suutuntuma.
