Kasteel Rouge is a blend of Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor. The mix of these two excellent products creates an exceptional soft beer with references to the dark mother beer.

Pours a medium burgundy with a pinkish small head. Aroma is of sweet dark cherries. It looks and tastes almost exactly like Dr. Pepper soda. It is slightly less carbonated and a little thinner but the flavor is unmistakable. I used to drink Dr. Pepper a lot but never thought of it as a beer. Not really my style. It masks the alcohol well but mainly because its too sweet and bubbly like a watery soda. If this is what you like then be my guest. Sorry, not what I’m looking for in a beer.

deep hazy burgundy with pinkish white head and rich cherry aroma. Lightly tart cherry yoghurt and cherry drops, moderate carbonation, full body and long fruity refrain.

Pod Mosteczkiem, butelka, na szybko: aromat wisni pod kazdym wzgledem dominuje, ale w tle czuc nieco nuty slodowe, jakis karmel, rodzynki. W ustach nieco jak mocno gazowane wino. Alkohol przyjemny. Zaskakujaco dobre

Pours a clear amber/red color, topped with a small off-white head. Aroma is nice and fruity, cherry-like, but with some yeasty notes in the back. Taste is what you would expect - sweet and fruity start, followed by some cherry sourness in the finish. A bit stronger, but still managable. Decent.

Poured from a 0.33L bottle bought in Romania into a short glass to drink. The beer a deep, dark ruby color with a lot of initial bubbles and a small foamy off-white head that almost instantly disappeared, with practically no cling or lacing. The aroma featured a strong presence of cherries along with some other fruity and floral tones, and a bit of licorice and some malt. It had a strong cherry and fruity taste with a subtle sweetness, but also had a stronger sour fruit effect with a slight alcohol presence and a bit of grainy taste. The beer had a wet and watery mouthfeel with low to average carbonation and a very dry finish and after taste, which was a bit thin in the end. Interesting beer, different, but enjoyable.
