COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kasteel Rouge is a blend of Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor. The mix of these two excellent products creates an exceptional soft beer with references to the dark mother beer.

Bottle, 8C, which was far too cold. Bottle says 6C FFS. Very dark red with a pinkish cream head. Aroma of cherries, herbs - mostly candied cherries, a little medicinal. Not quite cough syrup territory, but doesn’t do a lot for me. But drinking helps - it’s dominated by cherries, but there’s a light sourness and it’s not as sweet as threatened. Almonds, some apricots. And it dries out a lot at the end.

Troppo sciropposa, la ciliegia invade il palato senza bilanciarsi in alcun modo, tutto il resto č noia.

33cl bottle. Very cherry, but too alcoholic for me. Clear malt, some chocolate and hard cherry aroma attack, after only a little hop. It is very sweet maybe for the strong alcohol content too. Foam does rings on the glass, it is nice.

Pours a cola color with a bit of off white head. Smells like a dark cherry soda with hints of vanilla. Tastes sweet but not cloying of cherries and a vanilla end. Sticky. This is like a dessert to me! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Heerlijk fruitbier van 8% dus drink niet te snel. Een van de betere fruitbieren van het moment.

If you like sours and cherry alcohol, this is for you. Tasted more like a cherry sparkling wine than it did beer. Definitely a fruity drink, much more simliar to wine taste than beer taste. Not my taste, but for being a cherry sour this would probably be great for someone who liked that sort of thing. Expensive as hell though.

Gyümölcsös vörös sör a sör mestereitől.

Bottle to tulip glass, pours a dark transparent red with a small off white top. Aroma carries cherries, candy, grape, roses and other estery things. Noticeably artificial smelling however...there are also notes of cough syrup which doesn’t spell good things. Taste...hmm...black forest cake with a mixture of marachino and sour cherries. The malt backbone of the original beer does carry this quite well...lots of sweet/sour/savoury notes...and it’s surprisingly authentic tasting which is a good surprise. Palate...medium bodied, balanced quite well, co2 medium, finishes nice and dry but not overly so. Overall, pleasantly surprised, a good beer.
