Kasteel Rouge is a blend of Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor. The mix of these two excellent products creates an exceptional soft beer with references to the dark mother beer.

Bottle - Deep red colour, thin white head. Aromas of cherry’s, alcohol, caramel and chocolate. Taste is cherry and port-wine like. A little bit of chocolate perhaps. Finish is long and sweet.

Strong cherry aroma when poured, flawless opaque red colour with a pale pink head. While the sweet cherry flavour fills your mouth, the undertones of malt and chocolate keep the sweetness from becoming tart and remind you of the Donker. The peppery aftertaste is both pleasant and refreshing.

330 ml bottle from Club de Cervezas. Pours an opaque crimson color with brownish hues. Small pinkish-gray head with small bubbles leaves a good lacing. I could not feel much beer aroma. Sour cherries, some phenols, cherry liquor. A cherry oveload. Not really a fan. In the taste you feel some beer qualities. Wonderful, delightful tartness dresses up moderate sweetness and a little bit of prickly bitterness. ¡Complex! Different. I like it. Medium to big body and oily texture. Leaves some stickiness in the lips. Maybe not completely a fan of the whole package, but the taste was unexpected and interesting. Approved.

Keg at Ushers. Pours deep ruby. Nose is huge cherry, sweet. Taste is sweet cherry, light bitterness, light vinous notes, very sweet. In its own way this is pretty good, in small amounts.

Pours a medium burgundy with a pinkish small head. Aroma is of sweet dark cherries. It looks and tastes almost exactly like Dr. Pepper soda. It is slightly less carbonated and a little thinner but the flavor is unmistakable. I used to drink Dr. Pepper a lot but never thought of it as a beer. Not really my style. It masks the alcohol well but mainly because its too sweet and bubbly like a watery soda. If this is what you like then be my guest. Sorry, not what I’m looking for in a beer.

deep hazy burgundy with pinkish white head and rich cherry aroma. Lightly tart cherry yoghurt and cherry drops, moderate carbonation, full body and long fruity refrain.

Pod Mosteczkiem, butelka, na szybko: aromat wisni pod kazdym wzgledem dominuje, ale w tle czuc nieco nuty slodowe, jakis karmel, rodzynki. W ustach nieco jak mocno gazowane wino. Alkohol przyjemny. Zaskakujaco dobre

Pours a clear amber/red color, topped with a small off-white head. Aroma is nice and fruity, cherry-like, but with some yeasty notes in the back. Taste is what you would expect - sweet and fruity start, followed by some cherry sourness in the finish. A bit stronger, but still managable. Decent.
