4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
25.4 oz. bottle. To my nose, aroma was almost exclusively of cherries, with a little alcohol thrown in. Looked gorgeous in the glass, a fine red/brown color with a haziness that spoke of the tartness that awaited. Small pinkish head that disappeared almost as quickly as it formed. Taste was somewhat one dimensional (tart cherries of course); however, I did detect the distinct taste of fig. Dry on the palate. I took my time drinking the bottle so as to not overwhelm myself with the cherry taste. Overall, I liked it and would recommend it for splitting with another person after dinner.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown and ruby pour with small light pink head. Strong aromas of almonds, marzipan and glacé cherries. The taste is sweet and initially very strong on the glacé cherries, with the marzipan and almonds lingering in the mid-palate and finish. Full bodied and acidic which helps neutralise some of the sweetness. Interesting and enjoyable, if a little saccharine.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A smell of cherries, very fruity, some syrup. The head is small, fizzy and red with a short duration. The body is dark red. A taste of cherries, at first rather bitter, then it gets sweeter. The body is light and fizzy with a lot of carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 08-2017
Interesting looking brew indeed - deep bronzed body with a purple sort of hue to it, a creamy purple tinged head holds atop.
Sour cherry is dominant in the aroma, quite intense. Notes of brown sugar, and spice underneath.
Lively carbonation, full bodied, cherries add a touch of acidity & tannin.
Cherries dominate once again on the body - quite sweet, bit of almond in the works, dark candy sugar earthiness, touch of apple esters and phenolic savoury spice. Warming finish, overall sweet impression.
Interesting combination, works quite well.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
