3.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bar-none, probably the best smelling beer I’ve ever experienced, smelled and looked like melted Ludens Cough Drops. Though, that did not make for an especially pleasant beer -- seemed artificial.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark reddish brown, with medium slightly pink head. Cherry candy, strawberry jam, cassis soft drink. Touch of maltiness, rye-bread. Taste is very sweet, with a sour touch and slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied, slightly sticky. Drinkable, but tastes more like soft drink or candy than beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours scarlet with a fast dissipating beige head. Aroma is sweet cherries, slightly metallic anda bit of raspberry. Although unexpected from Kasteel, this is a good beer. Maybe a guilty pleasure. Taste is quite sweet but fitting with this one. Medium to full body with average carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Sharpedge Creekhouse: Served in a great Kasteel Chalice. This one pours a dark ruby tinged brown color. There was a wisp of a tan head that left some lacing. It has a nice nose. Some cherries, and some sweet caramel malts. Some other fruits hiding down in there. The flavor is very nice. Cherries on top. A hint of tingling on the tongue. Good malt body, with some sweetness. A touch of chocolate also. I wouldn’t sit down and drink a lot of these, but I would definitely have it again!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a nice red colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is quite fruity of course, of cherry and other fruits. Taste is sweet fruit leading to a dry finish. Nice stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33 cl. bottle. Beautiful deep ruby colour with a small, dense light pink head. Sweet aroma with marzipan, cherries, caramel malts, hints of tart berries and wood. Taste is medium to heavy sweet. Medium to full body with a thicker texture. Lively carbonated which saves this beer from being cherry juice. Finishes drying with cherries and tart berries. Definitely not for consumption in larger quantities. However, worked fine with my Ameretto-cherries dessert.

750 ml bottle. BB 03/01/13. From bierzwerg.de.
Dark red colour with a tiny tan head.
Cherries, sweetness, berries and malt in the aroma.
The flavour is really sweet with cherry, malt and berries. Too sweet.
