Tap at SAMs. Pours a reddish brown with a thin slightly sticky tan lace. Nose is strong coffee upfront, marshmallow cream, milk chocolate, light Belgian yeast. Flavor is similar- more dark fruits than the nose, more cocoa, mocha. Silky smooth finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a strong dark coffee with some bakers chocolate. Flavor is coffee and semi-sweet chocolate like to kind you would use is chocolate chip cookies. Almost no carbonation and this is very syrupy so It kind of clings to the mouth. Finish is just a hint of sour but still fairly sweet from the chocolate. The Belgians know a thing or two about chocolate and this has a lot in there. The 11% is not found.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
A very dark, reddish brown beer with a dense, beige and almost medium head. The nose is chocolate, coffee, mocca, and this remind me from the some familiar X-mas chocolate. After chocolate thoughts, also some black and almost burned coffee, strong sweetness. Taste of chocolate and coffee, roastiness, marzipan, sweetness, some alcohol in the end. The same coffeechocate that was in the aroma dominates also the taste. Only medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Overall impression is too much of essesce, and too much of X-mas chocolate. Although, I enjoy more chocolate than this beer. Too far away from the proper beer.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Semi-strong aroma with resin, chocolate, herbs and coffee. Semi-dark brown/tan color with light, brown head. Quite artificial taste with resin, chocolate and some roasted malts in a bit bitter style. Alcohol is coming trough lightly. Medium wide taste spectrum. Medium aftertaste with caramel and resin. Too light palate. Carbonation ok. Overall reminds me of Vana Tallinn liqueur, but in a more controlled manner.

330 ml bottle. Reddish black colour, thin tan head. Aromaq of chocolate, coffee and toasted malt. The flavour is toasted malty, with caramel, coffee and chocolate. OK, but a bit heavy on the artificial flavouring.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
330 ml bottle. BB 11/096/2018. (Alko) Tampere, Finland.
Black colour with a small tan head.
Black coffee in the aroma. Maybe there’s some sweetness, spices and malt in the background too. The flavour is sweetness, spices, coffee and malt. Quite bad combination to be honest. Blah... the coffee is too overwhelming.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Bottle, 0.33 l. from Alko, 20131122) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate, coffee, caramel and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, coffee and bitterness. The coffee didn’t really fit in this beer and the use of all the flavour additives felt like cheating.
