COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kasteel Winter is a unique departure from the standard Christmas ales known for their potpourri of cinnamon and clove. In fact, it stands alone as one of the most decadent and elegant Quadruples of Belgium in its own right. This 11% ABV beer pours a Chestnut brown with an off-white head. The nose is rich, with a warming scent of Coffee, Toffee, and Dried Fruits. The mouthfeel is rich and sweet like that of melted candy. The key ingredients to this delicacy is Belgian Chocolate and Coffee...noteworthy phrases in any brewers handbook. All of these elements come together to provide an after taste reminiscent of a tootsie roll.

Negra, escasa espuma, nada duradera. Copazo. Grande en el postre.

Bottle at Csakajosör. Pours a dark brown redish colour with a tiny whitish head. Aroma of chocolate, a bit of coffee and some earthy notes. Taste is sweet, maybe a bit too much sweetness. There is something behind, but you cant really feel it because of all the sweetness that is coming on to you soo strong. Not my favourite style, but it could be a decent dessert beer. Maybe. Im still not sure.

Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 750 cage-corked bottle - labeled as Barista Chocolate Quad. Dark brown leading to sable black pour, thin, but persistent off-white head, very light lacing. Aroma has some nice chocolate accents, a touch of sweet date frutiiness. Solid, full-bodied flavor nice bittersweet baker’s chocolate accents, some brown sugar sweetness, a touch of licorice, light espresso notes. Mouthfeel has a decent spritz to it, but the thickness does not match the flavor. Overall though, very nice.

33cl bottle. I love chocolate quads! This beer feels more like a dubbel than a quad, with an addition of sweet milk chocolate and a generous amount of coffee. Awesome stuff.

Dark translucent black brown color with small light tan ring of a head and minimal messy oily lacing. Aroma has huuuge coffee notes, roasted malts, toffee, and cocoa. Flavor is smooth, creamy, roasty, cocoa, coffee. So tasty and easy to drink- one of the best.

appearance: dark cola brown, creamy tan head. aroma: hugely sweet nose, with chocolate, coffee, toffee, vanilla, caramel, and molasses. taste: very sweet, with coffee, condensed sweetened milk, dark and milk chocolate, molasses, toffee, treacle, and a bit of raisin. finish: smooth and sweet, with lingering chocolate, coffee, and toffee; alcohol is incredibly well-hidden. notes: This thing tasted like a slightly boozy tootsie roll spiked with espresso. Never tasted anything quite like it. Definitely a big, tasty, winter sipper. Bottle from Sarah for Beerdvent 2015.

Had this as a Christmas drink. Notes of toffee and chocolate. Deceptive in that you don't realize how strong it is. Makes one wish for a cozy fire and a book.
