Super yummy. Coffee and chocolate dominate the flavor profile. High alcohol but hidden very well.

Holy crap, this is one of the best beers i’ve ever tasted. I don’t understand the low ratings at all. Nose is marshmellow and espresso. Thick, brown head and lacing. Flavor is chocolate, marshmellow, espresso happiness.

Wow. Roasty, toasty, coffee and caramel. Smooth and so very sneaky at 11% ABV. Well done.

750ml bottle, with a dark brown pour and lots of lacing. Wonderful aromas of roasted coffee and toffee. Big flavors of milk chocolate along with lots of coffee and caramel. Flavors extend into the finish with some Belgium yeast notes. Very rich and smooth! This beer is fantastic. Great Winter Beer! Hides the alcohol.

The name of the game here is coffee, in color, aroma, and taste. Think Dark Belgian, with the requisite yeast flavors therefrom, with espresso everywhere. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle with cork 0,75ltr: Very dark brown coloured brew with red glow. Amazing smell of chocolate, dry bitter taste with some sweetness. Hints of chocolate, coffee, vanilla and an Dutch treat named "Haags Hopje". Quite amazing winter warmer.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/26/2013. Pours fairly crystal clear very dark reddish brown color with a 1 finger fairly dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big caramel, cocoa, toffee, toast, coffee, molasses, clove, pepper, raisin, prune, apple, brown bread, light nuttiness, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great dark/bready malt complexity with light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast ester balance; with great strength. Taste of big caramel, cocoa, toffee, toast, coffee, molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, apple, clove, pepper, brown bread, herbal, light nuttiness, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of caramel, cocoa, coffee, toast, toffee, molasses, licorice, clove, herbal, brown bread, light nuttiness, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great robust malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a slick, bready, and moderately creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome Belgian strong dark ale! All around great complexity and balance of robust dark/bready malts and liught-moderate fruity/spicy yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Aroma of coffee. Pours a clear brown with white head. Tastes like a tootsie roll. Maybe some butterscotch. Thin and effervescent.

Pours almost pitch black with a thin layer of lasting off-white foam. Nose is dominated by dark chokolate that is accompanied by some coffee, vanilla and orange. Taste is quite bitter and roasty with a nice and long dry finish. Carbonation is soft and the palate extremely rich and creamy. The alcohol gives this a nice warmth. This is an excellent warmer for the winter months.
