bottle ’kasteel proefbrouwsel’, but it must have been this one @Kulminator, expiry date 2004. Unclear golden/yellow/beige colour with very nice, stable and creamy head. Smell: very fruity. Taste: old carpet, oak, fruity, a sour toch, yeasty. Nice one!

Clear orange-yellow body. Sparkling. White rocky diminishing head. Aroma of apples, honey and sweet malt. Oily texture. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter.

Poured in to it’s proper glass at the Belgian Bar, so gets a four for appearance. An A typical belgian ale. Lots of sweetness but not a great deal going on. Decent but nothing amazing. Cheers to volcanicbeat for sharing this.

Bottle. Golden, clear liquid with lots of small floats. Aroma is mostly of straw and corn. Taste is malty and a bit boring with some sweetness and notes of straw, corn and alcohol. A bit watery and dull, but quite drinkable and definitely not bad.

It poureda hazy golden liquid with a small white foam. It had a weak smell of yeast and honey. Medium carbonation and smoothness. Taste of yeast, honey and malt. Nice.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Paradise Fest.
Clean gold with a good, bright white head. Oh no, not another yeasty, spicy Belgian blonde. It sure is Jim. The Belgian equivalent of the slew of run of the mill bitters we have over here. Balanced, very drinkable, no character what so ever.

Bottle, bought @ BelgianShop.com.
Pours a wonderful, clear golden with an impressive, creamy, white head. It stays for some time and leaves good lacing. Great looks. Aroma has light metal, sweet crispy malts, light biscuity, some apple, yest, piney. Medium carbonation, rather light mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, no sign of alcohol. Crispy sweet malts dominate with fine fruity esters from the yeast. Light piney hoppiness in the finish. Fine, fresh and very drinkable.

Goldcoloured, 0.5 cm staying white head. Medium carbonation. Aroma: somewhat sweeter than a pilsner, in the taste hoppy, bitterly, alcohol is somewhat dominating. Finish a bit bitter.
