A good and easy-to-digest blond beer, with low alcohol content. Crystal clear till the last drop. A delicious thirst quencher.

33cl Bottle poured into the correct (lovely) glass on a sun terrace of a bar in Valkenburg, Holland, 23 Oct 2012. The bottle had a BBD of Oct 2013. As the name might suggest to you, the beer is golden blonde in colour, on top sat a full white crown of bubbles. It’s glass helps to make it look special in my eyes. The nose is a bit sweeter and grainer than I like: seemed wheaty and sugary even before the first sip and I wasn’t looking forward to trying it. Luckily it wasn’t as sickly and weak as the aroma first indicated: still had a sweet front, but it calmed down mid-sip and got even a little hop bitter and dry towards the end of each mouth full. Can’t say it was great, but it was OK I suppose: not very well balanced, almost dis-jointed in that the flavours didn’t blend or mix. I’ll not be having another by choice.

Bottle. Clear liquid. Body light to medium. Heavy carbonation. Boring. Too carbonated.

The little sister of Kasteelbier Tripel, tasted from tap. Very bright, ’pils’-like golden colour, snow white head. Fruity and sweetish, bit honeyish, otherwise rather one-dimensional. Relatively enjoyable but a bit too close to a plain strong lager to be a good Belgian.

Clear golden color, thin white head. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Aroma is yeasty, spicy, malty, hints of fruitiness. Texture is disappointigly watery. Very thin but easy to drink... And that is not what I expect from Belgian strong ale.

0,33L bottle, BB 07.2015. Pours clear golden with white head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, yeast, fresh fruits, and spices. Flavor is sweet and sour, fruits, spices, and citrus. Finish has some bitterness and hint of alcohol. Overall: simple brew, easy to drink.

Heerlijk blondbier van toch wel 7%. Wel veel koolzuur wat het voor mij toch wat snel gaat tegenstaan. Deze drink je niet de hele avond maar meer als tussendoortje.

I tried this before and loved it, now i find it a bit thin. Needs a better alcohol burn to be true worldclass but nonetheless a refreshing sup
