Looks like a triple. Has a sweet malt with a 7up like nose. Sweet citrus flavors with some fruity cotton candy tastes. Just a little sweeter than I prefer, needs a little more hop to balance it out for me. Clean finish with a small amount of burn from the alcohol.

10/V/2012 - 33cl bottle @ The Glengarry (Gent) - BB: 10/V/12 (2012-484)

Clear blond beer, big irregular head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, grains, sweet malts, bit sugary, overrpe fruits, some ripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet alcoholic start, sugar, touch of banana, biscuit, pretty bitter hops when cold (this gets less as the beer warms up). Aftertaste: sugar, banana, some citrus, bitter hops but the sugary sweetness overpowers everything else. Notmy favorite.

330ml bottle. Aroma is fruty and a lot of yeast, slightly apple. Appearance is noce golden with a finger thick white head. Taste is slightly bitter, little sweet. Great mouthfeel with light carbonation and a very long finish. Overall a strong and quaffable Belgian Tripple. Really enjoyed it.

330 ml bottle via BelgianShop. Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow with medium head. Aromas of bananas, honey, and yeast. Flavors of peach, vanilla/banana, and some spice. Warm. Slight hops to finish. Very nice.

Polished amber gold with a medium height light rocky head. Plenty of visible carbonation. Light tropical and honey aroma set to a backdrop of yeast and rose. Taste has a bit of sharp hoppy bitterness over the subtle peachy sweetness, but was still very well balanced for such a strong tripel. Palate feel is light bodied, dry and crisp from the heavy carbonation. Finish coats well, like a much heavier bodied beer, with a touch of bite and a light lingering honey sweetness.

Pours with a light frail white head... cloudy gold. Aromas pf peaches and stone fruits.. hides the alcohol unbelievably well for an 11% Sweey without cloying. Superb.

White weak head. Golden colour. Aroma is moderately malty with fruity (apple) and light citrusy, floral and alcohol notes. Flavor is malty too with fruity (apple) and light hoppy tones, ending in a moderately hoppy finish. Medium bodied.

11-2010 I wrote this: 33cl Dumpy brown bottle, poured into a Duvel glass. This is one of my new son-in-laws favourite beers, suprised I’ve not reviewed it before. This bottle was best before 01-2011, so I’ve been storing it for some time. The beer poured a golden bright colour, a good looking white head sat on top. Most golden beers look in a Duvel glass in my opinion. The aroma of yeast and baked shortbread biscuits. The taste and flavours almost hide the alcohol, but no quite. On the sweet side, it has an easy feel to it, very drinkable even with the obvious alcohol content floating on the surface. The beer is a good blend of the basic ingrediants (yeast, hops and malts), one of the better strong Belgian Tripels. This review was taken before I hit the Normandie Camembert (very ripe) and crackers (garlic and herb flavoured). However the second half of beer went very well with food and they complimented each other perfectly.
