edden (856), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA May 4, 2008 4/22/08: Bottle. Cloudy, chunky, active, burnt yellow body with a slightly off-white head. Yeastie, breadie aroma. Lovely flavor of banana, yeast, clove and even a touch of cinnamon. Hangover (636), Atlanta, USA May 3, 2008 Cloudy yellow pour, huge head and big carbonation. Lemony, yeasty aroma. Mouthfeel is creamy with medium carbonation. Sweet taste with more lemon, banana, yeast, clove and some other spices. Finish is warm but the alcohol doesn’t really stand out like I expected for 11%. Pretty good. note666 (74), Eindhoven, Netherlands May 3, 2008 330 ml bottle. yellow coloured. bit acohol taste. I like the brown version better. YK23 (189), Israel May 2, 2008 Bottle: yeasty, little dusty, some banana notes, some cloves, spicy, some citrus, nice alcoholic sweetness, very good beer. JFURYCAT (673), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 30, 2008 NEPA case split from Joe L. Dangerous (well hidden alcohol). It seems like an easy sipper with a nice floral aroma with some banana esters up front. (aroma beats flavor as far as fullness) The sip has some light citrus, malt, spices, and syrup. Swirl this one around and the alcoholic burn finally becomes evident. So does the complexity which isn’t obvious on the first sip-the malts become more pronounced, adding an almost woody cork like layer to the beer. It doesn’t seem thich and full for this style but it has a nice medium finish with enough carbonation to maintain an effervescent tone. At first I thought bland but was awakened when I explored it more. But this did not hold up in the long haul.
