3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle, poured into Kasteel chalice. A: Very dark in colour, opaque, tiny disappearing tanned head, some lacing. S: Tawny port like, plum, booze and fruity esters. T: More bitter than the "Kasteel Donker" mellowed throughout, hints of plum, brown sugar, fudge. Finish dominated by boozy burn. M: Smooth, moderate carbonation, medium to thick body. O: I would say, aside from the bitterness, it was barely distinguishable from the "Donker". If it qualifies as a Quadruple, it doesn’t quite hit the heights others do.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ruby brown, almost no head. A lot of body. Some rope berries, a bit of vanilla, alcohol, a bit of acidity but also sweet. Finish dominated by alcohol unfortunately. All in all enjoyable

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I was expecting more from this beer. The head disappeared quite quickly and the flavour was mildly fruity and slightly lactic. I did however, have an "aged" character throughout which made it a bit cloying. Not as good as some of the other Kasteel beers.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 33 cl. Pours brownish amber with small brown lacing head. Notes of spices, caramel, herbs, raisins, Belgium yeast, banana. Nice smooth sweet but not overly sweet taste which hides the alcohol almost like it was not there.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, served in its special glass, at Tituš, Zagreb. Poured a deep brown-amber body with an off white head. Nice malty aroma, banana, caramel, gum, typical Belgian spicy notes, heavy but somehow still fresh, light dust, light alcohol. Earthy malty taste, banana, light herbal bitterness, light grapes, slightly thinner than I expected, ending earthy too, and yet tasty. Best Honsebrouck product that I’ve encountered so far, quite superior to the Donker.

Raisins, bread, brown sugar, and caramel in the aroma. Rich flavor, with caramel, dark fruit, and some spice. A little bitterness and lots of drying alcohol in the finish. Tremendous sipper.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
33cl bottle. Bb 10/2017. Dark brown, thin beige head. Sweet, caramel, spices, hibiscus aroma. Flavor has sweetness, spicyness, caramel, aniseed, hops. Finish is sweet with caramel and aniselike notes. Not overly sweet, but enough to hide the alcohol completely. Sipper.
