strong taste of the dark sugars. malty en heavy alcohol taste RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Dec 22, 2008 Hazy brown pour with a small white head. Yeasty, malty aroma. Flavor is fruity and yeasty: caramel and dark fruit, plums and cane sugar. Lightly spicy. Nice. Straling (185), Heerlen, Netherlands Dec 18, 2008 Bottle 33cl.
Pours a dark ruby colour with a small size head and almost no carbonation.
Vague aroma of sweet fruits and raising, needed a few smells to get this out.
Taste is more clear, very very sweet taste with fruits and spices, has a bit of taste like gluh wine there too.
Nice strong ale. Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Dec 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a brown body with a tan head. Dark fruit, plum, apple, and raisin with a big etoh bite. Lots of spices cinnamon and nutmeg come to palate. Light toffee and nutty flavors. Good brew. Gary (352), Buckinghamshire, England Dec 8, 2008 Updated: Dec 13, 2008I love the bottle label it resembles the Duff brewry from The Simpsons. This beer is hardcore Just looking at the label gives me a head spin Woah this is like a classy ghetto fuel if that aint contrading thinz notes of burnt fruit like plum and prunes with apple esters Its ridiculosly sweet and malty I like it though a nice sipper by fire and all that festive bulshit Bontus (291), Waasmunster, Belgium Dec 6, 2008 Bottle. Glasswork is amazing. Pours near black brown with a mostly diminishing light brown head. Strong nose. Creamy oily texture. Full bodied beer. Soy sauce and port in aroma. Also cookies, nuts & toffee. Alcoholic finish. fata2683 (836), Panama City, Florida, USA Dec 5, 2008 bottle, pours dark brown with a medium dark tan head. Aroma is huge with notes that are sweet and spicey. Raisins mixed with cinnamon and dark candied sugar, smells like a deliciously dark cookie. Flavor is sweet, but not overly, with a moderate bitterness that finishes with touches of spice. Nutmeg, all spice, and again cinnamon. Alcohol burn rounds out the lightly carbonated, creamy mouth. Very good ale, strong, but well masked. Easy to drink, and hit the spot as my nightcap.
