COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong Belgian brown ale.
After extensive tasting, trying to fulfil increasingly strict requirements, the brewmaster obtains a creamy, dark Belgian brown ale: Kasteelbier. The quality of the past is still unmatched and the beloved taste is very much of the present. Kasteelbier is a dark, artisanal beer, soft and mild, full and creamy. It can age for many, many years, as indicated on the bottle. 11% abv, serve at 12°C (54°F) (Translation by Martinus)

bottle. muddy, opaque colour, smells of strong coffee, cherry and some malt. tastes of alcohol, a little sour but mostly sickeningly sweet with a horrible aftertaste. medium body.

Dark brown with bit creamy off-white head. Very full mouthfeel, thick beer. Sweet, strong, not very complex, what makes it easy to drink. Most disctinct feature in the tatse is overrpe banana. Not a topbeer but one I can certainly enjoy on a regular base.

olor a caramelo y malta tostada y al paladar fuerte, intensa, amarga,parece un basoncito de regaliz. Poco carbonatada es ideal para acompanarla con carne asada o comida con sabores fuertes.

Your beers worst nightmare.... Did not finish the whole bottle; aroma was ok, dark caramel. But the taste is horrible; rotten fruit, diesel, and some cheap marzipan.

33cl bottle. Dark brown with off-white head, fair lacing but quickly diminishes. Aroma is to toasted sugar, caramel, spicy. Flavour is sweet, spicy, alcoholic, with candy sugar notes. On palate results moderate dense with a taste very sweet and persistent, and an alcoholic final that impregnates mouth and nose. Carbonation is soft. Texture is oily. Body is full.

A very sweet beer. Not surprising due to the high alcohol content. Great thick, sediminenty colour, but a little high on the sweet count

Bottle at a pool hall, den Haag. Dark brown pour with tan head. Aroma of caramel, fruit. Flavour is very sweet and fruity with noticeable alcohol.
