Aroma of red delicious including the skin and dark spots. Some dates too. Smooth mouthfeel, gets smoother as it warms. Sweet apple throughout the flavors: a rather simplistic profile with lots of sweet, some alcohol, and not much else. Mellow, warming, nice. foodtraveller (26), Belgium

Rather sweet, with freshness and complexity even if lot of caramel in there. Geuzelambix (110), København, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 7, 2008 One hell of a sweet beer. Maybe it will be better in front of a fireplace after a walk in the snow - since when we had it (or my friends did) in Ghent, it was too sweet and not suited for the meal we were eating. tomer (380), Rishon Le Zion, Israel
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2008 0.33L bottle. Deep dark brown with burgundy red taintes, Small head dissapearing almost instantly. Rich malty nose upfront, later coffee notes and some yeasty notes which are a little skunky. Flavour dominated by sweet dark chocolate wiyh some friutness behind. The sweetness is to strong and a bit cloying carring into a long aftertaste which is overly sweet. Body is medium to full. jbuzz (660), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2008 On tap at Pitcher’s Pub in Cumberland, RI. Pours dark brown. Nice aroma of dark fruits, brown sugar, and a hint of alcohol. Flavor of dark fruits and brown suagr with a warming alcohol finish. Has a very vneous quality, Quite tasty, but very sweet, which is a little distracting. Underneath the sweetness is a beer with a loy of complexity. I enjoyed the beer, but it’s defintely not an everyday beer. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2008 Pours dark ruby/mohogany with a small off white head. Fairly heavy and sweet on the palate, a bit more carbonation would lend some more esters and make it a bit less syrupy. Big raisin flavor, caramel, fake maple syrup, and coffee cake. Not a bad beer, but overall a bit sweet and lightly cloying in the finish.
