Smokey sweet aroma with some green apple-y and vinegary sourness. Clear, dark garnet with just a little brown fizz that leaves dots on the side of the glass. Sugary and sourish, but more sugary; too sugary for my taste. Some dried fruit and nuts with a little alcohol play off the sweetness and high alcohol content nicely. Medium to full body. Low carbonation, lasting sweet and sour in separate places on the tongue. thegreenrooster (1818), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is has a red wine quality with some dark fruit and candi sugar. Flavor is super sweet with some cherry and brown sugar. Finish leaves a toffee taste on the tounge with a small dose of alcohol. This is just ok as this is another beer that is way to sweet. Quack-Duck (3167), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany

Aroma has fresh malt, sweet fruits. It give a very nice mouthfeel, well-composed full-bodied beer. A bit sweet and gives a sticky mouthfeel. This is the only negative I can say. Alcohol (11!!!) is well hidden. daniellerose7 (119), new york, New York, USA

An interesting Belgian beer to say the least. Lots and lots of residual sweetness left in this ale, but it works to it’s advantage because what it creates is a beer that should be enjoyed for a long time (sipper) and in good company. The beer pours out a slightly cloudy chocolatey brown hue, soft red highlights with a foamy white cap. Aroma that I could first smell was the sweet malts. A bit of candy-like toffee too but mostly a pleasant sweetness. Flavors are really sweet, but never cloying in any way. Said candy-bar like toffee, maybe a little molasses and the sweet malts really are front and center with this beer. Excellent mouthfeel. Creamy and velvety thru and thru. A fantastic Belgian beer that I will be keeping an eye out for. franksnbeans (265), Columbus, Maryland, USA

Smells of dried and candied dark fruit, fig, rasins and very earthy. Taste is very complex. The earthy notes are the backbone to a nice and sweet fig, dried fruit and almost some cherry. Gets a little medicinal taste in the finish as it warms up. Full in the mouth but ever so smoooth. Very drinkable for such a high ABV brew. A delish experience indeed that must be tried.
