Dec 10, 2007 Brown/black with a moderate head. The aroma has notes of caramel and fruit in a rather complex combination. The flavour has sweetness and notes of caramel, raisins, dates and other fruits. The alcohol isn’t very obvious. A really nice and complex one.

Nov 29, 2007 Very malty aroma’s from draft. Good steady foam, off white creamy apperance. To sweet to make it drinkable, to heavy in alcohol. For me to overpowering due to the alcohol. Can be a good beer to rest for a few years, and see how it develops.

Nov 24, 2007 Updated: Nov 25, 2007Nov. 25, 2007; 1/9.4 bottle. Dark, porter-like appearance. Spicy, fig/alcohol aroma. Sugary-sweet malt & fruit flavors dominate the taste. The sweetness is nearly-overpowering -- the only obvious flaw of this beer. With a little more hop profile, this would make a decent Quadrupel. Very much a dessert/apertif-type brew that would be a good substitute for the obligatory port after a fine European-style meal.. And, at 11%, it’ll put the lights out for you too. ;-)

Duft: Meget viniøs, let karamel og let gær. Egetræ. Metalisk.
Smag: Kraftig, stærk, varm, meget sød. Samg af malt og mørke bær.
Sirup agtig.
Tør varm eftersmag.
Meget alcohol - flad.

Nov 17, 2007 A nice sweet aroma. A crazy flavor too, almost so sweet that it covers all the alcohol. If you can get past the sweetness this is quite enjoyable.

Nov 17, 2007 (Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 17 Nov 2007) Dark brown colour with ruby hints, brief beige head. Malty nose with dark bread, brown sugar and hints of berries (blueberries or black-currant). Malty taste with notes of dark danish rye bread, chocolate, black-currant and marzipan. Full body. Fairly sweet and with an obvious alcohol bite, but still in good balance. Nice, hearty and warming.

Nov 16, 2007 Redish brown body with very little head. Smooth with flavors and acidity reminiscent of red wine like cherrie, but still has tons of malt flavor.
