2004 Bottle from Big C Liquors in WInter Park, FL. <P> The dark brown body of this beer is murky and holds a thumb thick, creamy tan head that diminishes slowly. <P> Has a brown sugar laden, sweet bread and raisin accented aroma. Very sweet and cake/bread-like aroma. <P> Fore is brown sugar, sweet malt, some mild bitter toastiness, raisin, all spice. Warming alcohol is quite present through the middle and into the finish. A bit dusty in the far finish. Carbonation is soft, but noticeable. Overall a touch too sweet, but not terribly so. The alcohol is a bit hot.

Dark reddish brown colored pour with a sweet fruity, yet spicy aroma. Strong sweet brown sugar like finish. Too sweet for me.

0.33l bottle at home from original glass. Dark ruby color with ring of foam and some lacing. Spicy and fruity aroma, hint of alcohol. Sweet and spicy taste. Nice Brune.

Bottle. Beautiful dark chestnut, brown ring of lacing foam. Fairly dusty and wooden nose, roast, nut. Sweet sugary base, caramel, very spicy, minerallic yeast, wooden, nutty notes. Oily thick mouthfeel. Spicy aftertaste.

Édition 2006 (BBD 2011). Robe brune foncée très claire surmontée d’une mousse beige épaisse qui persiste. Arômes de sucre, de prunes et de caramel. Saveurs de toffee, de prunes, de sucre, d’alcool et de malt caramélisé. Encore jeune.

(08.01.06) One pint 9.4 oz green bottle from DiCarlo’s, Mundelein, IL. 11% ABV. Bottle labeled 05-2009. Sweet malt and dried prune aromas. Poured clear reddish brown with small off-white head. Soft carbonation. Full-bodied ale that starts with moderate sweetness and dried fruit (raisin and prunes)/caramel flavors. Finished with light malt fade. Smooth and delicious, this is an excellent Belgium ale.

This world class...had at H+Ans(bottle) and at the forum in CPT(tap)...tap made this spectacular....real sweet and tasty...smmoth and thick-ish...dark...amazing

Dark brown, sweet, warming feeling. Malt and brown sugar. No hops detectable, which means it is far too sweet for my liking.
