Bottled. Comes in a real classy shallow tulip glass. Pours dark ruby with rich head. Toffee aroma, and once it is warmed up also roasted malt and burnt sugar. Sweet vinous and very malty. In a way quite remimiscent of a full bodied red wine. The mouthfeel is soft and it is arousingly flavourful. The balanced finish contains a slight trace of hop bitterness to balance the port wine. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 22, 2009 Bottle. Looks good, smells good, tastes not so good. It’s way too sweet. Very heavy on the malt. It’s OK if you want only one. If it weren’t so expensive, It would make a really good stock for a beef stew. I like the bottle and the lable. kask (15), Toender, Denmark

Smell of raisin, brown sugar and alcohol. Taste have notes of raisin, brown sugar and a lot of alcohol. Carbonation is flat, the body is full, texture is thick.
It is very sweet and the alcohol is quite dominating. Its is almost lika a liqueur.
Unlike many raters on this site, im not a sucker for beers with high amount of alcohol, so i am not impressed at all.
