3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 33cl. Pours a small brown head that disappears really fast. Very dark amber, almost black appearance. Malty, earthy and yeasty aroma, also nuts, chocolate, plum, dust and dark fruits. Very sweet taste, pretty similar to the aroma, but now also wood and alcohol. Slight bitter, dusty fruity aftertaste. Sticky texture, very soft carbonation. Only drink if you like sweet beer!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark brown beer with a good white head. Smells sweet, licorice. Way way way too sweet for me. Licorice and malts. Low carbo. Thick body and sticky texture.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bought a bottle at the supermarket. Has a dark brown color and a nice cream colored head, carbonation is perfect. Has a sweet aroma with fruity tones of oranges and raisins. Has a nice sweet taste with a light bitter. In the taste tones of syrup, raisins and caramel. The taste in the finish comes to it’s full extent. It’s long and pleasant! A nice strong ale, but a little to sweet for me.

Strong, creamy and malty beer with tones of chocolate, Belgian yeast and some herbs. A typical example of Belgian quality.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Crazy banana aroma and flavor in this one. Big alcohol presence w/ a smooth and full palate. Nice hop balance. Did I mention big big banana?

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours real dark with a pillowy white and tan head. Very sweet and strong at the same time. There is no denying this is a high alcohol beer. A bit too sweet for my taste. The roof of my mouth is sticky and sweet and the creamy aroma in the head lingers. I like that. Overall, not my favorite Belgian strong, but worth trying.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Aroma has dark fruits. Taste is very sweet with fruits and some alcohol, but it hides its potent abv very well. Sticky mouthfeel. Cherry liquer comes to my mind. A fine late evening beer.
