Aroma is light alcohol, caramel, chocolate, mud. Body is brown with a thin-bubbled cream colored head. Very sweet and sugary, too much so. Very sweet, I have a 750ml bottle to myself so I’m gonna finish it, but this would be beer that wouldn’t be bad to sip on with like 5 other people.

330ml brown bottle. Pours mahogany with a thin layer of tan head. Some sweet malt in aroma, some fruitness, light suggestion of red wine. Rich and sweet (brown sugar, honey), caramel, somewhat malty but syrupy, alcohol provides some warming but is not overwhelming.

Bottled. Typical Belgian stubbie. Pours a flat cola -red with little or no head. Aroma is alcohol mixed with spice. mouth feel is oils and sweet...pronounced molasses-cola tastes some malt body and the ever pervasive alcohol....very much like a Carib sweet stout...bad job of hiding it and too sweet with adjuncts to be considered a serious for a European ale...these Belgium mutants should have their own category...maybe "rot yer teeth hi grav rummy beer" ...woof , I won’t be going back here.

Pours deep ruby brown with nothing for a head but some off white bubble. Nose of deep dark stewed fruit, bread, pepper, clove and star anise. Thick, sweet and syruppy. Lots of red wine grape accents. Modestly smoked malts. It’s simply huge. Tastes a lot like Rochforte 10. Right now it’s just way to fresh and sweet. Give it two years for the sugars to die away and this could be something special.

Wow. Was this a beer or a glass of bourgogne? Rich texture, warming alcohol but well hidden behind sweet malty aromas. The beer is beautiful: dark opaque ruby-brown with very little head. A very good beer to have with a strong cheese.

Perfumey, malty, sweet, nutty, floral aroma. Opaque, dark brown with decent tan head that recedes to nicely cover. Very sweet, nutty and doughy flavour with some alcohol in the finish. Just enough hops and spices to take the edge off. Medium-full body. Although it has an almost syrup like consistency, there is very engaging carbonation that prickles the tongue. Bottle.

Bottle:Pours a dark brown, with hints of red body. Minimal light brown head. Aromas of sweet malts and slight alcohol. Flavours of sweet malt, and caramel. Somewhat syrupy. Alcohol is definaltey noticable. Slight bitterness on the finish. Smotth and creamy/syrupy. The sweetness lingers on the tounge. Good beer for relaxing in the winter time.

Bottle- Pours a dark brown body that has hints of rouge at times. Head is minimal, light brown, and it disappears rather quickly. Aroma is various malts, sweet smelling, slight alcohol as well with some nutty notes. Taste is very sweet, malty, caramel, and maple syrup. Reminds me almost of coke-a-cola, Bitter finish with alcoholish taste as well. A great winter warmer for sitting and sipping with loved ones and friends alike!
