Bottle. Sweet grape/raisin aroma. Dark brown color with next to no head. Extremely sweet malt and slight astrigent finish - really not to my liking - way too sweet.

Bottle conditioned? Deep ruby red, low head and condition. Initial licorice aromas with strong alcohol notes and a faint suggestion of cola. More licorice in the mouth and a chocolate/coffee note that becomes winelike but still stays sweet into the finish. Quite obviously alcoholic and best saved till the end of a day.

Small light beige head. Dark red translucent body. Tight vinuous peppery aroma of licorice and alcohol with notes of chocolate. Quite harmonic. Taste is deep, sweet licorice and chocolate, with strong spicy notes, and a cardamom finish. Very harmonic, and hard to analyze, but very, very nice. Quite a bit of alcohol heat, and you can taste a little alcohol as well. (0.33l bottle.)

(Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Dark ruby brown, creamy tan haed. Sweet aroma of caramel, belgian chocolate, candied nuts and dark syrup. Full flavour of syrupm burnt sugar, almond and candied oranges. Thick mouthfeel. Long syrupy sweet finish.

Bottle. Dark mahogony beer with a light tan head. Fig, raisin, yeast, light roast aroma. Rich caramel, light sweetness, fig, raisin flavor with molasses and brown sugar. Full bodied. Lingering caramel, fruit (plum, raisin), and slight sweetness. Nicely done - not overly complex, but good. Alcohol slightly present.

Initial aroma of dried fruit, malt, and only a little alcohol. It looks great; nearly black, with a thick head that leaves a thick lace on the glass. Flavor is primarily sweet. There is also malt, brown sugar, wine and cinnamon. Sinus clearing alcohol detracts slightly from the taste. Heavy.
