Very, very sweet taste with porto, raisins, liquorice. Bit tart and smokey. Alcohol hidden behind the sweetness. Hopefully it will develop well after a few years.
2003 versin, tasted dec ’03. Malty sweet aroma with hints of cappuccino. Sugary sweet flavor with raisin and syrup. The alcohol is totally hidden by the sweetness. Too much for my tastebuds. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

Head was poor and over all to quickly. Bubblegum hit to the aroma with some iron and seaweed and to the flavour too and slighty herbish. To me its just all sugar and alcohol. Sickly sweet. Personally I don’t see what the fuss is about. Its ok but far from great. thewolf (5837), Kolding, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 18, 2003 Big beer. Dark brown with medium white head. All malt aroma of toffee and fruits. The taste is extra sweet. Plums, caramel, malt, grapes. Very vinous, rich and warming, alcohol is noticeable in the finish. Almost syrupy mouthfeel. It would be interesting to age, but overall I must say I expected much more.
