4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
1L tap. Dark brown/black. Malty and caramel with thick flavour although it is very sweet almost like a dessert stout. Thourougly enjoyed this beer which carries it’s high 11% ABV very well.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very dark brown, almost black. Small bubbly beige head. Yeast, brown sugar, bit funky, roasted corn, overripe mango, caramel, meaty, sweet tomato sauce. Very sweet with a burnt-bitter touch. Dry at first, then it opens up into a medium bodied slightly sticky feel. Bit bubbly. Overall: too sugary sweet for me, aroma is OK.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ Belgian Brasseie Henri. Clear dark reddish black color, long-life small sized brownish head, chocolate and alcoholic aroma, full body, powerful syrupy sweet taste, palate with cherry and toffee notes.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
My favourite beer at the moment. Great appearance. Thick, creamy head, well-rounded mellow flavour of dark malt, fruit and a ripe sweetness. The high alcohol content is very well disguised by the rich mouthfeel.

Kasteel brune 11’ en pression 33. Propr chalice
Deep brown, small tan head. Some lacing.
Aroma: sweet, dark fruits, grains. Molasses.
Taste: sweet, even for the style. Very strong molasses finish. Some alcohol on the finish.
Palate: fairly full body. Thick texture. Medium long finish.
Overall: not my favorite for the style. Overly sweet. Good flavors behind it, but the sweetness is a bit over bearing.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
A dark beer with not much head. Sweet aroma like some old sweet shop with toffees and nuts, accompanied by a strong sweet taste, strong alcohol present, but a calmer smoother aftertaste. This is one of the big and full direct beers I like a lot. Very satisfying.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark reddish clear brown pour with small off white head. Hmm....nice chocolate and malty/yeasty smell and that dog in the rain again. Aroma?s better then expected. Wow...sweet but great taste of cherry jam, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and dark coffee like malts, brandy. Surprisingly good flavor. Thick and sticky, almost syrupy mouthfeel. Like it! Pretty sweet but a nice winterwarmer.
