Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Feb 22, 2006 On tap at The Taphouse in Norfolk, VA. Slightly hazy gold with a minute white ring of a head. Not much in the nose, a bit of a fruitlike aroma. Flavor is light white grape, some coriander and light malt. Body is light, and, combined with the carbonation, makes this beer really snap off your tongue. Some additional spiciness shows toward the end. Very drinkable, pretty good, but really not stellar. goldtwins (4078), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 10, 2006 Poured a hazy dark yellow color with a medium long lasting fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, and yeasty with some fruit and spice. Starts sweet and malty then quickly give you a little fruit before going to a yeasty and spicy finsih. Very warming with just a hint of the alcohol taste. Medium to full body. Some banana and bubble gum as it warmed. hughie (3016), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Feb 3, 2006 Golden with a slight haze and small head. Virtually no aroma: perhaps a hint of cheese. The flavour is champagne, followed by a pleasant alcoholic sweetness. A hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Strong stuff! My opinion of this rose as I sipped it... pineybob (11), MYSTIC ISLANDS, New Jersey, USA Jan 27, 2006 Amazingly average Belgian ale. Highly drinkable nothing really bad to say about it. Conversely nothing really good either. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Jan 19, 2006 Updated: Mar 18, 2007This beer is strong, but it seems to focus more on the Alcohol content than the beer itself. The aroma is of Champagne and honey. with some light tropical fruit to it. I’ve had better Belgium that has better taste yet was just as strong.
nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 19, 2006 The aroma has barnyard smells with cheese and sour kraut. The appearance is golden with a light haze. The flavor is cheery with lots of alcohol and yeast. There is also some sweetness and malt too, but worst of all it has a medicinal quality. Thankfully it’s very faint. The palate is average. The aftertaste is warming and fruity. This one is a little strange. fluids (364), USA Jan 17, 2006 Pillowy large white head. Hay yellow color. Beautiful cheesy yeast on the flavor. Bready nose. Alcohol is there but complimentary to the taste. A gift from a friend.
