Great intense carbonation. Not a very strong aroma. Taste is delicious. First second and third sensations are alcohol burn. Great medicine flavor. Burning man palate. I think this is an awesome triple. Nice amount of yeast crud in the bottom of the bottle. Initial sweetness gives rise to epithelial fixation in response to the ethanol dehydration of the mucosa. Fabulous! mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2005 Updated: Jun 26, 2006The Kasteel Donker is one of my top beers, but I find that the Triple, while decent, does not live up to the quality of the Donker. Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer pours a medium golden color with a large white head. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. The flavor is very sweet with some spiciness, a bit of tang and a yeasty finish. There is alcohol burn on the finish as well. The spiciness lingers on the tongue. this was the best of the lot at this old cafe we sat in all by ourselves as the bartender looked as us uneasily. (didnt know if he just didnt like us or because he hated GWB, which most of them do) nice belgium yeast in the nose with beuatiful haze and a thick white head. banana fruit and spices no real alcohol feel . smooth almost greasy on your palate. good.
