3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Pale yellow, large white head, slightly hazy. Very carbonated. Strong, sharp fruity scent, alcohol, belgian yeasts, sweet malty cookie dough, lemon & citrus. Tastes has a bit of alcohol bite, blends well with the spicey yeast, lemon/citrus/fruit tastes and the sweet malt. Very drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
pale yellow. Decent head. Abrupt aroma of cleaning solution and citrus. Fast fading head. Minimal lace. Strong alcohol flavor. Bitter citrus fruits in the finish. There is no masking the 11% in this. It comes through, but itís still suprisingly drinkable. Definitely not an every day beer though.

Poured a nice amder with a reddish tone.Creamy head.Good carbonation. The nose from this was complex in that I picked up some nice fruits and sweetness but nothing blocking the other.Nice fruity flavor and the alcohol wasnít trying to hide. Some hoppiness and malts.Good body and this was a good warm finisher.

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The DM & Hotstuffís European Honeymoon trip beer number 36. This bottled brew from the ít Brugs Beertje pub in Brugge poured a small head of finely sized bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent golden brown colored body an excellent lacing. The aroma was malty with a mild doughy note and the mouth feel was good with a malty vinous note. The flavor was vinous malty and hoppy.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer is all over Belgium in 4-pack 11.2 oz bottles. I am sampling it from a corked & caged 750 mL with a bottling date of 9/2003. There doesnít appear to be any yeast in the bottle.
Lovely, subtle nose of mainly malt (butter toffee, honey, caramel and biscuits and delicately hoppy with notes of citrus fruits, pineapple, lemon and lime.
This is one gigantic beer. Itís pretty tasty as well. Flavor of deep rich malts (hazelnut, caramel and biscuits) with different light fruit flavors, mainly pear, pineapple and a hint of almonds on the finish.
I enjoyed this one.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml. green magnum champagne bottle. Corked and caged. Date bottled is 07/2003 on a waxy feeling cork. Freshness date is of 10/2006. 13 months old when drank. Loud pop forced the cork out with great pressure. So, itís still very lively. Poured out a somewhat hazy orangish / yellow color, with a decent, but short lived head. The head was an off-white color, and it quickly faded back to a thin island of yeasty foam on top of the beer itself.
Aromas are of sweet malts, slight Belgian yeasty funk, and lemon / citrus peel. No hops are present in either aromas or flavors.
Alcohol is well off in the background, along with some slight phenols. Tastes are of lemon zest, sweet malts, candi sugar, some spicy corriander, and alcohols. Very warming to both the throat and the stomach. It tastes earthy as well as sweet. Go figure. Medium mouthfeel is rich and thick, but doesnít coat your tongue. Almost chewy in a way. Warming buzz to it after awhile too. Finishes somewhat dry, but not overly so. A really decent Belgian triple. I canít believe I havenít rated it before now. I was missing out on some really good beer here.
