3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours blonde with a quick white head; nose is fruity with a touch of booze but not particularly deep. Flavor is also disappointing in its simplicity and reliance on alcohol for flavor; this is too high for tripel, and simply too boring. Overall it’s a decent brew, but I expect a lot more for a legit belgian tripel and for the price tag.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Backlog rating. Keg at FOB, Rimini. It pours a clean golden color with a large fluffy white head that sticks around quite long. Aroma is yeasty, citrusy, dry and spicy, with notes of dough, brad, biscuit, floral, esters, black pepper. Taste is dry and grainy, grassy with notes of violets and orange marmalade. Light alcohol burn. Finishes quite bitter and dry, lightly spicy. Full bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, a nice traditional tripel, although ABV makes is quite a sipper.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle bb04/2017. Smells like a corny Weizendoppelbock: banana peel, ester overdrive, green apple compote, jenever-like ethanol fumes. Taste adds thise aromas on a chewy bubblegum palate but doesn’t really take them anywhere particular. Meandering, near-vegemite yeastiness, particularly astringent in the finish. An old-school tripel whopper of a sipper that can slowly make you feel the migraine building...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig en licht bitter hoppig met sporen van banaan en vanille. Smaak blijft lang hangen. Erg goed bier.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dourado escuro com espuma branca e persistente. Aromas doces predominando mel, caramelo, calda de abacaxi. Boa acidez e carbonatação. Na boca o toque doce persiste com leve amargor residual. O álcool aparece. Final quente. Encorpada para dias frios.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden colour, quite dark for a tripel. Small, clean white head. Heavy oily body. Aroma of pear, spice and alcohol. Taste of honey, orange, booze. OK, but could trade in some of the alcohol strength for a wider range of spicy flavours.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dit is gewoon een heerlijke tripel van kasteel. De 11% komt goed tot zijn recht maar overheerst niet. Mooie gouden kleur, kleine witte schuimkraag.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sweet, fruity (apple/lemon), spicy aroma. Lemony, spicy flavor. Less malt sweetness than in the aroma.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle (330 ml). Clear golden with a huge slowly diminishing white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is quite sweet with light spiciness, lemony notes, alcohol and honey flowers. Taste is sweet (cloying) with spices, floral notes, alcohol and light bitterness. Medium body. Fizzy carbonation. Awful sticky alcohol and spices finish. Complete lack of balance. Cloying. Too much alcohol. Very unpleasant finish. Drain pour.
