A tripel, as solid as a castle. A full bodied beer, brewed with Belgian hops, to enjoy quietly, with a powerful, distinctive flavour: flowery, hop bitterness and soft alcohol.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, sugar, hops, yeast, antioxidant (ascorbic acid).

Pours blonde with a quick white head; nose is fruity with a touch of booze but not particularly deep. Flavor is also disappointing in its simplicity and reliance on alcohol for flavor; this is too high for tripel, and simply too boring. Overall it’s a decent brew, but I expect a lot more for a legit belgian tripel and for the price tag.

Bottle at home. Aroma of ripe fruits, yeast, sweet malt, spicy notes, alcohol. Flavour is sweet with just a slight hint of bitterness. Body is disappointingly medium considering the ABV. A very sweet alcoholic Tripel, not undrinkable but not my kind of beer either.

Flaska@Pressklubben. Örtig och jäsig doft. Inleder ganska sött i smaken men övergår sedan till ett hyfsat örtigt och torrt avslut.

-Upfront very earthy, musty w a lightly bitter floral hop note -sweet honey note -well carbonated -alcohol fairly balanced for an 11%er,though theres a warming in the throat -very spicy pepper, alcohol and very dry finish pretty decent Tripel, but cant hold a candle to the top guys (Chimay,Westmalle,La Trappe)

Tap@La Trappiste, Carterbury. Pours golden with a good white head. Aroma and taste of dried fruits, spices, yeast, orange, alcohol. Full body. Creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. Nice.

9/20/2006 Beer at home. Very high alcohol content which is not well hidden, but surprisingly drinkable. Nice ale. Quite spicy.

Pours piss-yellow. Way to sweet for me. Alcohol dominates. Metallic, chemical flavor. Not nice

Wow, nice Tripel! Much 'stronger' than expected: and its not that yeasty as well. Overall a refreshing beer

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Trappist glass. Clear, golden colour with a big, fluffy white head. Sweet aroma with yeasts, dried fruits, spices, orange peel and subtle pepper notes. Taste is sweet. Full body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation. Finishes rather dry and bitter with a good warmth from the alcohol. Very enjoyable - however, I see no need for 11 % abv.

First of, I am not fond of Kasteel beers. This one is okay, compared to other tripels and good compared to other Kasteel beers. Taste: dry, coriander, hay, spicy, alcohol.
