Tres bonne Tripel. Tres ronde et fruite, un peu trop portee sur le sucre et un final un peu trop sur les esthers. Tres agreable malgre tout.

Pours pale golden with big white head. Poor retention. Final pour adds the yeast remains, making the beer hazy. Strong carbonation, a bit too much to be honest. Smell of alcohol and sugar, maybe corn. Taste: sugar, alcohol, corn. Hint of bitter, but mostly a sweet finish. Feels as if the unnecessary high alcohol kills the hoppy, floral and fruity notes, leaving the beer somewhat thin and simple. It lacks complexity and the high alcohol and large amount of sugar deny the beer character. After an unfortunate clash with the Donker, I had hoped that with this tripel Kasteel would redeem itself. Alas, it did not.

Bottle 0.33L. Deep golden body with a medium-large, creamy, white head, mostly lasting with a nice lacing. Fruity aroma (white fruits) with evident notes of spices and alcohol; some malty character is also present. Flavour is mainly sweet and spicey. Medium body with an oiuly texture; soft carbonation; evident alcoholic warming in the finish.

Goldish amber clear pour, little foam, sweet tasty caramel, bit burnt, strong alcohol, works well with my salty popcorn

Pours blonde with a quick white head; nose is fruity with a touch of booze but not particularly deep. Flavor is also disappointing in its simplicity and reliance on alcohol for flavor; this is too high for tripel, and simply too boring. Overall it’s a decent brew, but I expect a lot more for a legit belgian tripel and for the price tag.

Poured in a chalice. Mild carbonation gives way to a bit of lacing. Color is comparable to somewhat cloudy bourbon. Pleasant, with a nasal-passage opening hint of ethanol from this 11% ABV trippel. Not a seasoned reviewer yet and I am having difficulty detecting specific notes. There is a decent alcoholic bite to this brew, but a mild bitterness gives way to a refreshing sweetness. Thin, light with little carbonation once it hits your tongue. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - not much head, light gold color, very high alcohol aroma and flavor, some citrusy hop notes, sweet malt - overall kind of disappointing, I love triples but this one misses the mark a little ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bright crystal clear golden color with small foamy white head. Aroma is floral, fruity and bubblegum. Taste is also fruity and floral. Also belgian yeast, rich belgian malt, hint of banana and clove. Sweet but not cloying. Packs a punch with 11%. One of the better tripels I’ve had. Very nice.

From a 33 cl. bottle. Poured clear straw yellow with a small white head. A little bit on the lighter side in terms of complexity, but still a nice tripel that I would drink again.
