Oct 29, 2006 Pours a light pale clear yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma is kinda champagney, sour, alcohol, and peach. Flavor is pretty strong and alcoholish, warming sensation as it goes down, slight caramel, and some sour tartness. Overall, not impressive.

Nov 23, 2004 Orangy color and a big but short lived off-white head. Alcohol and bready yeast are the dominant scents. Rich fruit and some floral hoppiness are in the shadows. A thick feeling sweet warm brew. A rich nutty maltiness coats the mouth. Alcohol warms all the way down. If approached as a normal drinking brew, it’s overwhelming. If approached as a "sipper" this is a nice dessert brew, great as a before bedtime drink on a cold winters night.

Mar 26, 2008 0,33 l bottle. Nice amber body, delisicious white and stable head in spite of high alcohol percentage. Sweet, vanilla aroma, strong flavour with coriander and alcohol, creamy mouthfeel, oily and thick texture, vanilla aftertaste. The alcohol warms me up.

Jul 11, 2004 Updated: Dec 29, 2004A mixed bag of a beer. Big earthy and slight perfume aromas. Moderately acidic -- you can taste some alcohol on it, but not too much. But it looks pretty poor in the glass: murky orange beer with nearly no head on its broad shoulders. Dried fruit essences and a nutty flavor lend some nice complexity.

Aug 25, 2007 Hazy yellow gold with a rocky dense white head, though diminishing observably. Yeast esters, light and sweet. A bit of apple, some Belgian funk, some subtle vanilla and cinnamon(?). This seems to defy trippel, by a bit. Creamy subdued think and full, Again, a bit more substantial for the style than I’m used to. Very sweet, with some alcohol, over fruity esters. Dry spicey, slightly alcoholic finish. A bit of spice, pepper(y hops?) and cinnamon, perhaps even some of that Belgian funk.

Apr 17, 2008 Hazy golden orange with lasting white head and some lace. Lemon candy, yeast, and mild alcohol aroma. SWeet honey apricot lemon with spicy finishing bitternes. Medium-light body and medium carbo. Nice mouthfeel. An enjoyable strong beer. Better than I expected.

Mar 24, 2002 A fine belgian tripel. Very similar to Scaldis in both look and taste. A bit more hoppy in the balance and a bit less abv.
