COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A tripel, as solid as a castle. A full bodied beer, brewed with Belgian hops, to enjoy quietly, with a powerful, distinctive flavour: flowery, hop bitterness and soft alcohol.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, sugar, hops, yeast, antioxidant (ascorbic acid).

Golden yellow tripel with a hoppy and light bitter flavour. Subtly fruity and has a firm aftertaste.

Tap@La Trappiste, Carterbury. Pours golden with a good white head. Aroma and taste of dried fruits, spices, yeast, orange, alcohol. Full body. Creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. Nice.

9/20/2006 Beer at home. Very high alcohol content which is not well hidden, but surprisingly drinkable. Nice ale. Quite spicy.

Pours piss-yellow. Way to sweet for me. Alcohol dominates. Metallic, chemical flavor. Not nice

Wow, nice Tripel! Much 'stronger' than expected: and its not that yeasty as well. Overall a refreshing beer

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Trappist glass. Clear, golden colour with a big, fluffy white head. Sweet aroma with yeasts, dried fruits, spices, orange peel and subtle pepper notes. Taste is sweet. Full body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation. Finishes rather dry and bitter with a good warmth from the alcohol. Very enjoyable - however, I see no need for 11 % abv.

First of, I am not fond of Kasteel beers. This one is okay, compared to other tripels and good compared to other Kasteel beers.

33cl in tulip glass A: golden yellow thin lacy head that resolves rather quick A: yeasty, floral, sweet T: early sweet and yeasty, coriander P: creamy and carbonated with smooth finish, mild to minimal bitterness O: reminds me of leffe blond but better and with much more alcohol, not bad but not my favorite triple

Pours hazy golden, standard whitish to creamy head. The aromas are round and pleasant, maybe subtle, fruity, malty and a bit spicy. As for the taste, it is almost like a white wine in character, complex and smooth, with a well hidden alcohol content, hints of sweetness and a fabulous (but mellow) fruit-like tone that the Belgians seem to love so much. The flavours themselves are not round and deep like those in BSAles, but, instead, more delicate and fragile in a way that is reminiscent of white wines. Very nice. The body is medium and well developed, and the carbonation is medium to low. The finish is longish with a detectable presence of alcohol... though, you’ll actually detect that when you stand up and walk somewhere else. Decent one.
