A cloudy yellow pour with a white head that disapates quickly. A spicy hotness in the flavor with some warmth from the abv as well. Carbonation is agressive but not overly so. A decent beer. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Hazy yellow gold with a rocky dense white head, though diminishing observably. Yeast esters, light and sweet. A bit of apple, some Belgian funk, some subtle vanilla and cinnamon(?). This seems to defy trippel, by a bit. Creamy subdued think and full, Again, a bit more substantial for the style than I’m used to. Very sweet, with some alcohol, over fruity esters. Dry spicey, slightly alcoholic finish. A bit of spice, pepper(y hops?) and cinnamon, perhaps even some of that Belgian funk. AskForJenny (660), Ontario, New York, USA

Poured pretty hazy golden body with medium head that stayed up short. Weak aroma, yeasty (fruits) with some malts. Fruity bittersweet flavor, dominated by orange and sweet caramel. Hints of bread and peppermint like spices are felt as well. Alcohol is very neatly hidden, but surely noted at its 11%. Long, fruity, bitterish, just slightly alcoholic finish. Not bad at all, after I was disappointed by Donker, I got better than I’ve expected from this. Naka (528), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a clear golden colour with a nice foamy head.
Aroma is that of oranges and some other fruits mixed in.
Taste is also oranges, but can also detect banana.
A good abbey tripel.
