The taste is the same with a slightly tart bite and alchohol coming through. Got better as it warmed. The yeast taste/aroma was more subdued then other tripels I have had. Not bad though. eyesandsmiles (179), Mission Viejo, California, USA

It smells and even sort of tastes like a chapmagne in a way. The alcohol content helps it. glennmastrange (869), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Bottle. Moderate malt notes of light bread and grain, lemon for the hops, leather for the yeast, and a big hit of white wine up front. Head is average size, fizzy, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is slightly hazy pale amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a lively carbonation and finishes a touch dry. A bright and refreshing Abbey Tripel with no bad attributes. kiscokid (10), Mount Kisco, New York, USA

Hazy, yellow color. Small white head.
The beer had a rather nice acidity. Hops, citrus, yeast.
The beer felt smooth to drink, despite the high alcohol content. Tasty.
