3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2011 Bottle dated May ’02, enjoyed 4/9/05. Light golden pour. Very fizzy, with a bit of a sweet honey smell. Taste is a sweet white wine, a touch of vanilla and a suggestion of oak. Just a little bitterness and then tartness with a sugary finish. I found this at Foremost Liquors, being closed out at $2.99. Why? They surely know Belgians stay pretty good as they age. Maybe because the labels were different from year to year.
Another 2002 bottle, enjoyed 5/31/07. Just as nice as before. Just noting a bit of cork in the initial swig. I’ve had a previous bottle that went way too tart, but this is still nicely sweet, with a contrasting dry finish. Crazy world, huh? This had a different label that I hoped meant it was the Donkel, but it still says "Golden" on it.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy golden, standard whitish to creamy head. The aromas are round and pleasant, maybe subtle, fruity, malty and a bit spicy. As for the taste, it is almost like a white wine in character, complex and smooth, with a well hidden alcohol content, hints of sweetness and a fabulous (but mellow) fruit-like tone that the Belgians seem to love so much. The flavours themselves are not round and deep like those in BSAles, but, instead, more delicate and fragile in a way that is reminiscent of white wines. Very nice. The body is medium and well developed, and the carbonation is medium to low. The finish is longish with a detectable presence of alcohol... though, you’ll actually detect that when you stand up and walk somewhere else. Decent one.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
11.2 oz. stubby bottle thanks to weihenweizen. Label reads Bottled on 2013/07/03. Side by side comparison with St. Barnardus Tripel. Golden with a Amber like hue, thin head. Aroma has big yeast Phenols, banana, sugar, mild sweet malt,
The flavor mirrors the aroma with notes of peach. The major off putting thing is the high level of alcohol that can still be tasted during and after the sip. Sharp amounts even after the length of time it had to develop in the bottle. In all honesty, St. Bernardus wins this taste test hands down.

Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Peachy sweet nose, big fumes, light yeast. Light orange/amber color. Rich fruity initial, sugary, syrupy thick sweetness, some alcohol burn, and a tiny bit of oxidation. Medium-heavy body. Okay. Heavy and very full.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enorm mooi hier met mooie schuimkraag. Lekkere zoete triple met een bittere nasmaak. Mist in mijn ogen karakter en heeft een te wat simpele smaak. Lekker bier maar geen absolute topper.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dorada clara, con espuma ligera. Efervescencia notable.
