3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2011 Bottle dated May ’02, enjoyed 4/9/05. Light golden pour. Very fizzy, with a bit of a sweet honey smell. Taste is a sweet white wine, a touch of vanilla and a suggestion of oak. Just a little bitterness and then tartness with a sugary finish. I found this at Foremost Liquors, being closed out at $2.99. Why? They surely know Belgians stay pretty good as they age. Maybe because the labels were different from year to year.
Another 2002 bottle, enjoyed 5/31/07. Just as nice as before. Just noting a bit of cork in the initial swig. I’ve had a previous bottle that went way too tart, but this is still nicely sweet, with a contrasting dry finish. Crazy world, huh? This had a different label that I hoped meant it was the Donkel, but it still says "Golden" on it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aparência classica. Liquido amarelo acetinado, translucido, boa carbonatação e creme denso esbranquiçado.
Aroma intenso e doce.
Sabor de alcool e mel bem pronunciados. Ácida. Forte. Um pouco cítrica. Um pouco floral. Baunilha também. Complexa e boa!
Retrogosto bastante alcoolico.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Birra incredibilmente rispettosa dello stile, buona da far invidia con il giusto connubio tra dolce iniziale e amaro finale. Gran bella birra, da bere e ribere.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
330 ml. bottle. Pours a deep golden colour, with a medium head that fades quickly, leaving a small lace. Semell of apricots, banana, clove, floral, honey., cloves. Surprinsingly medium to light boyd, I expected more froma Kasteel on the palate. Taste of apricots, citrus, honey and full bodied wine, the kind of sherry or manzanilla, or oloroso.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle bottled April 17, 2012 into a snifter. Aroma is of esters. .. banana residuals. Appearance is a clear orange yellow with a half finger white head that dissipates to a small white covering. Taste is slightly boozy with a semi sweey banana edge. Palate is good. Overall a very good triple worth trying. Cheers!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle into a snifter a light golden orange with a white head.
Aroma is fruity what I distinctively call Belgium when I smell the brew.
Flavor is subtle banana malty crisp defined. Floral but not overwhelming.
As a blonde one of my favorites. Refreshing and balanced to the mouth.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Stubby bottle. Blonder than blonde with a decent white foam. Nose is WOW, like walking into a banana plantation. So fresh and bananananana. Taste, surprisingly, ISN’T banana (well there is a hint), but is viney, winey and floral. Hoppy with an underlying alcohol burn. This is yummy! Just a shame about that burn.
